Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to cosmetic products, more specifically but not by way of limitation, a cosmetic brush that is employed to apply cosmetic and similar products such as but not limited to face masks, wherein the present invention includes a hygienically designed bristle assembly as well as a bristle assembly that is releasably secured so as to be replaced.

BACKGROUND

As is known in the art, the cosmetics industry is a multi-billion dollar a year industry that encompasses a wide range of products and services. Cosmetic services can include but are not limited to manicures, skin treatments and facials. These services can be either performed by the individual themselves or be delivered by a professional cosmetologist or similar professional. One type of service includes applying various treatments to the skin, in particular of the areas of the head and neck. These services include an application of lotion, cream, powder or other type product applied as a coating.

One issue with applying the aforementioned products is the utilization of a brush for application. Most often a fan-brush or similar type of brush is employed to facilitate the application of the product. These brushes have bristles that are manufactured from a synthetic hair-like material which do not offer desired hygienic properties. In fact, certain regulatory agencies in some countries have banned or are investigating the banning of these types of brushes due to poor hygienic parameters. While these conventional brushes can be cleaned, it has been found that bacteria and pathogens can still be present on the brush subsequent the cleaning thereof. Another issue is that the conventional brushes are a single piece wherein the handle and bristle assembly are one piece construction making replacement of the brush more costly.

Accordingly, there is a need for a brush applicator that can be employed to provide application of a multitude of cosmetic products wherein the brush of the present invention includes a bristle assembly having bristles manufactured from a hygienic material and wherein the bristle assembly is releasably secured to a handle assembly.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is the object of the present invention to provide a fan style applicator brush to be utilized for applying various products such as but not limited to cosmetic products wherein the present invention includes a bristle assembly.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a hygienic applicator brush operable to inhibit spread of bacteria and pathogens wherein the bristle assembly is comprised of a multitude of bristles manufactured from medical grade silicone.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a fan style applicator brush to be utilized for applying various products such as but not limited to cosmetic products wherein one embodiment of the bristles includes a bristle shape that is needle-like.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide a hygienic applicator brush operable to inhibit spread of bacteria and pathogens wherein an alternate embodiment of the bristles of the present invention includes a fragmented end pattern operable to assist with distribution of some products.

An additional object of the present invention is to provide a fan style applicator brush to be utilized for applying various products such as but not limited to cosmetic products wherein the bristle assembly of the preferred embodiment is fan-shaped.

Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a hygienic applicator brush operable to inhibit spread of bacteria and pathogens that further includes a handle assembly.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a fan style applicator brush to be utilized for applying various products such as but not limited to cosmetic products wherein the bristle assembly and handle assembly can be configured to be releasably secured.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide a hygienic applicator brush operable to inhibit spread of bacteria and pathogens wherein an alternate embodiment of the bristle assembly of the present invention could include a resilient support member in an upper portion thereof.

An additional object of the present invention is to provide a fan style applicator brush to be utilized for applying various products such as but not limited to cosmetic products wherein the bristle assembly is removable so as to facilitate easier cleaning thereof.

To the accomplishment of the above and related objects the present invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Attention is called to the fact that the drawings are illustrative only. Variations are contemplated as being a part of the present invention, limited only by the scope of the claims.
