Claims
- 1. An ice shaving machine, comprising:
(A) a cabinet; (B) a hopper attached to said cabinet; (C) a drive motor within said cabinet; (D) a scraper mechanically connected to said drive motor; (E) a blade fixed to said cabinet; and (F) a control mechanism for activating and deactivating said drive motor.
- 2. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, further comprising a spout assembly.
- 3. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 2, wherein said spout assembly further comprises a spout and a flap.
- 4. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said cabinet is made of a plastic material and has a drip pan with a drain.
- 5. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said hopper further comprises a cover and an opening for providing access of the ice to said blade and said scraper.
- 6. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said drive motor is a direct drive DC motor.
- 7. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said drive motor is a direct drive AC motor.
- 8. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said drive motor further comprises an electric motor and a gear box.
- 9. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said scraper further comprises:
(1) one or more paddles for moving the ice across said blade; (2) a drive shaft mount fixed to said drive motor; and (3) wherein said scraper is made of steel.
- 10. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said scraper further comprises:
(1) one or more paddles for removing the shaved ice; (2) a drive shaft mount fixed to said drive motor; and (3) wherein said scraper is composed of aluminum.
- 11. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said blade further comprises a curved steel band having one or more cutting slots for shaving off flakes of ice.
- 12. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said control mechanism further comprises a toggle switch device.
- 13. An ice shaving machine, as recited in claim 1, wherein said control mechanism further comprises a foot pedal switch.
