Abstract
An ice sled with a handlebar assembly attached to a pair of equivalent modified, malleable sleigh runners each made up of “304′ stainless steel with a foot rest affixed to each sleigh runner and with a plurality of through holes in each sleigh runner with each through hole amenable to receipt of the body of a screw first inserted through a washer with each screw threadably received by a centrally positioned threaded hole in a removable wheel with all removable wheels located exterior to each sleigh runner.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The instant invention relates to ice sleds for use during both cold and warm weather seasons.

2. Prior Art

There is no prior art such as relates to the instant invention. An Informational Art Statement that however does not anticipate the instant invention is herewith submitted.

A SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

1. A Brief Description of the Invention

The instant invention consists of a conventional ice sled having modified, malleable sleigh runners to which a plurality of wheels are removably attached.

2. An Object of the Invention

It is an object of the invention to provide a device that is amenable to functioning as an ice sled during cold winter weather and likewise amenable to functioning as a means of providing functional transportation during warm weather all with steering that is accomplished by way of a turning of modified, malleable sleigh runners. Such steering capability is inherently more desireable and dependable from both a control as well as a safety vantage point than steering able to be accomplished only by way of attempts to merely yank a moving sled to the right or to the left in an effort to change a direction of travel.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

1. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a typical ice sled.

2. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the instant invention.

3. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the instant invention shown equipped with a plurality of removable wheel components.

4. FIG. 4 is perspective view of the instant invention absent removable wheel components.

5. FIG. 5 is an isolated exploded view of one of the removable wheel components of the instant invention with attaching accessories.

6. FIG. 6 is a top plan view of the instant invention equipped with a plurality of removable wheel components.

7. FIG. 7 is an isolated lateral plan view of the instant invention equipped with a plurality of removable wheel components.

8. FIG. 8 is an isolated lateral plan view of the instant invention absent its plurality of removable wheel components.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

FIG. 1 serves to depict a conventional ice sled A with an equivalent pair of sleigh runners. FIG. 2, a perspective view of the instant invention shows a plurality of wheel components 8 affixed to an ice sled 1 equipped with a pair of equivalent modified, malleable sleigh runners 2. Such affixation is via a screw 4, one screw 4 per wheel 8 that is insertable through a through hole 3 seen in FIG. 5 that is found within a modified malleable sleigh runner 2. As per FIG. 5, there are a plurality of equivalent wheel components 8 that are held to each of a pair of equivalent modified, malleable sleigh runners 2 by screws 4 insertable via the bodies thereof through holes 3 and through washer units 5 into threading found within the inner walling of centrally located wheel through holes 6. Wheel components 8 held to modified, malleable sleigh runners 2 as just noted can moreover also be optionally so held by nut means 7 threaded to the ends of bodies 6 of screws 4 as seen in FIG. 5. Screws 4 amenable to receipt by nut means 7 would have bodies greater in length than those not foreordained to be received by any nut means 7. References to FIGS. 4, 5 and 8 make clear the fact that wheel components 8 are readily removable from modified, malleable sleigh runners 2 and correlatively readily attachable thereto as well. When wheel components 8 are removed therefrom, the instant invention functions as per FIG. 7 as a conventional ice sled in wintertime, and, just as when wheel components 8 are attached as noted above, the instant invention is moved forward manually by an operator pushing against ground with a leg and a foot. One foot operates to propel the instant invention forward while the other foot of the operator rests on a foot rest 9 of a modified, malleable sleigh runner 2. Foot rests 9 are shown in FIGS. 3 and 6. Modified, malleable sleigh runners 2 would be made up of #“304” stainless steel. This material is very sturdy, has excellent corrosion resistance, high ductility and very high wear resistance. “304” steel also is very malleable thus allowing for easy steering of the instant invention without fear of fracture simply by way of twisting the handlebar portion 10 thereof to the left or to the right as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 respectively. “304” stainless steel is made up of 18 to 20 percent chromium, 8 to 10.5 percent nickel, 8 percent carbon, 2 percent manganese, 3 percent sulfur and the remaining percent being iron.

Respectfully submitted, with reference to the foregoing recitations, the instant invention is useful for purposes of manually transporting during any of the four seasons of the year a person or cargo positioned on the seating unit 11 of ice sled 1, all with an unique convenient and dependable form of steering as can be noted with reference to various ones of the figures shown above, and, in view of the same, the instant invention is, moreover, also unquestionably new and unique as well.
