Claims
- 1. An isolated DNA molecule, encoding an I.kappa.B/GFP fusion protein for measuring degradation of I.kappa.B in vitro, comprising I.kappa.B and green fluorescent protein.
- 2. A vector capable of expressing the isolated DNA molecule of claim 1.
- 3. A cell line transfected with the vector of claim 2.
- 4. A method of determining activation of NF.kappa.B by a compound of interest, comprising the steps of:
- introducing into a cell a vector expressing an isolated DNA molecule encoding an I.kappa.B-GFP fusion protein of claim 1;
- contacting said cell with said compound of interest;
- measuring an amount of GFP-induced fluorescence,
- wherein a decrease in GFP-induced fluorescence by said compound indicates that said compound activates NF.kappa.B.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein a decrease in GFP-induced fluorescence is directly proportional to the degradation of I.kappa.B.
