Claims
- 1. An image-display apparatus comprising:an envelope; a fluorescent layer and an anode electrode arranged within said envelope and disposed on an inner surface of said envelope; an electron source arranged within said envelope, said electron source radiating said fluorescent layer with electrons; and a transparent plate having an outer surface coated with an electroconductive film, said transparent plate being spaced from an outer surface of said envelope, with a space between the outer surface of said envelope and said transparent plate, the outer surface of said envelope being on an opposite side of the inner surface of said envelope, and said electroconductive film being grounded.
- 2. The image-display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said electron source comprises a cold cathode type electron-emitting device.
- 3. The image-display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said electron source comprises a surface conduction electron-emitting device.
- 4. A flat plate type image-display apparatus comprising:an envelope comprising a face plate and a spaced rear plate; a fluorescent layer and an anode electrode arranged within said envelope and disposed on an inner surface of said face plate of said envelope; an electron source arranged within said envelope, said electron source radiating said fluorescent layer with electrons; and a transparent plate having an outer surface coated with an electroconductive film, said transparent plate being spaced from an outer surface of said face plate, with a space between an outer surface of said envelope and said transparent plate, the outer surface of said face plate being on an opposite side of the inner surface of said face plate, and said electroconductive film being grounded.
- 5. The image-display apparatus according to claim 4, wherein said electron source comprises a cold cathode type electron-emitting device.
- 6. The image-display apparatus according to claim 4, wherein said electron source comprises a surface conduction electron-emitting device.
- 7. An image-display apparatus comprising:an envelope; a fluorescent layer and an anode electrode arranged within said envelope and disposed on an inner surface of said envelope; an electron source arranged within said envelope, said electron source comprising a plurality of electron-emitting devices arranged in a matrix, with said electron source radiating said fluorescent layer with electrons; and a transparent plate having an outer surface coated with an electroconductive film, said transparent plate being spaced from an outer surface of said envelope, with a space between the outer surface of said envelope and said transparent plate, the outer surface of said envelope being on an opposite side of the inner surface of said envelope, and said electroconductive film being grounded.
- 8. The image-display apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said electron-emitting devices are arranged along a plurality of rows and columns.
- 9. The image-display apparatus according to claim 8, wherein said electron-emitting devices are cold cathode type electron-emitting devices.
- 10. The image-display apparatus according to claim 8, wherein said electron-emitting devices are surface conduction electron-emitting devices.
- 11. A flat plate type image-display apparatus comprising:an envelope comprising a face plate and a spaced rear plate; a fluorescent layer and an anode electrode arranged within said envelope and disposed on an inner surface of said face plate of said envelope; an electron source arranged within said envelope, said electron source comprising a plurality of electron-emitting devices arranged in a matrix, with said electron source radiating said fluorescent layer with electrons; and a transparent plate having an outer surface coated with an electroconductive film, said transparent plate being spaced from an outer surface of said face plate of said envelope, with a space between the outer surface of said envelope and said transparent plate, the outer surface of said face plate being on an opposite side of the inner surface of said face plate, and said electroconductive film being grounded.
- 12. The image-display apparatus according to claim 11, wherein said electron-emitting devices are arranged along a plurality of rows and columns in a matrix.
- 13. The image-display apparatus according to claim 12, wherein said electron-emitting devices are cold cathode type electron-emitting devices.
- 14. The image-display apparatus according to claim 12, wherein said electron-emitting devices are surface conduction electron-emitting devices.
