- and wherein, with vertical interpolation in said on-state, said interpolation circuit obtains an interpolation horizontal line signal by interpolation processing from the chrominance signal C1 and the chrominance signals C2 and C3 phase-shifted in a vertical direction.
- 3. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claims 1 or 2 further comprising:
- a calculation circuit for calculating the chrominance signals; and
- a filter circuit for controlling frequency characteristics of at least one of the chrominance signals, output signals of the calculation circuit and output signals of the interpolation circuit.
- 4. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein said calculation circuit obtains a luminance signal or a color-difference signal from the different three chrominance signals C1, C2 and C3.
- 5. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein said calculation circuit makes the chrominance signal C1, the chrominance signal C2, and the chrominance signal C3 coincident in vertical phase.
- 6. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claims 1 or 2, wherein said interpolation circuit makes the chrominance signal C1, the chrominance signal C2, and the chrominance signal C3 coincident in vertical phase.
- 7. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein said filter circuit attenuates a vertical high-band frequency component of at least one of the chrominance signals, calculation circuit output signals and interpolation circuit output signals.
- 8. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein said filter circuit attenuates a vertical high-band frequency component of a chrominance signal calculation circuit output signal and a vertical high-band frequency component of a calculation circuit output signal.
- 9. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claims 1 or 3, wherein said drive control circuit performs frame storage drive control, and at the same time, odd-field reading is effected to ones of the plurality of image pickup elements while even-field reading is effected to others of the image pickup elements.
- 10. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claims 1 or 2, wherein said drive control circuit performs field storage drive control, and at the same time, odd-field reading is effected to ones of the plurality of image pickup elements while even-field reading is effected to others of the image pickup elements.
- 11. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claims 1 or 2, wherein values of the pitches p1 and p2 satisfy the conditions that 0.ltoreq.p1<1 and 0.ltoreq.p2<1 respectively.
- 12. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claims 1 or 2, wherein the pitches p1 and p2 are quantities corresponding to a 1/2 line portion of 1 field image.
- 13. An image pickup apparatus as claimed in claims 1 or 2, wherein the pitches p1 and p2 are set as p1=p2=p.
