Claims
- 1. An image pickup apparatus coupled with an illuminating apparatus which illuminates an object while ambient light exists, comprising:
- (a) image pickup means for generating a plurality of electrical color image signals from an optical image;
- (b) detecting means for detecting a first color temperature information of ambient existing light;
- (c) comparing means for comparing said first color temperature information with a second color temperature information relative to illumination of said illuminating apparatus and for discriminating the difference between said first color temperature information and said second color temperature information; and
- (d) control means for controlling color balance of said plurality of electrical color image signals according to said difference discriminated by said comparing means.
- 2. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said control means, in a case where said first color temperature information and said second color temperature information are relatively different, controls said color balance on the basis of one of said first color temperature information and said second color temperature information.
- 3. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said control means, in a case where said first color temperature information and said second color temperature information are not relatively different, controls said color balance on the basis of both of said first color temperature information and said second color temperature information.
- 4. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said control means, in a case where said first and second color temperature information are relatively different, further determines which of said first and second color temperature information said color balance is controlled on the basis of, in accordance with the luminance of the ambient light.
- 5. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said illuminating apparatus includes a plurality of illuminating devices.
- 6. An image pickup apparatus coupled with an illuminating apparatus which illuminates an object while ambient light exists, comprising:
- (a) image pickup means for generating a plurality of electrical color image signals from an optical image;
- (b) detecting means for detecting a first amount information of ambient existing light;
- (c) comparing means for comparing said first amount information with a second amount information relative to illumination of said illuminating apparatus; and
- (d) control means for controlling color balance of said plurality of electrical color image signals according to a ratio of said first and second informations obtained by said comparing means when a difference between a first color temperature information of ambient light and a second color temperature information of said illumination apparatus is below a predetermined level.
- 7. An apparatus according to claim 6, wherein said control means, in a case where said first amount information and said second amount information differ by a given measure, controls said color balance on the basis of one of said first amount information and said second amount information.
- 8. An apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said control means, in a case where said first amount information and said second amount information are substantially equal, controls said color balance on the basis of both of said first amount information and said second amount information.
- 9. An apparatus according to claim 6, wherein said control means, in a case where said first and second amount information differ by a given measure, controls said color balance is controlled in accordance with the luminance of the ambient light.
- 10. An apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said illuminating apparatus includes a plurality of illuminating devices.
