Claims
- 1. An endoscopic imaging system, comprising:
an imaging apparatus having an imaging device for producing a motion picture signal representing an object image formed by an endoscope; a main substrate having a signal processing means, which processes the motion picture video signal, which represents the object image and produced by said imaging device, and produces a digital motion picture signal, mounted thereon; and an expansion substrate connected to said main substrate so that it can be disconnected freely, and having a processing circuit, which includes a digital motion picture compression circuit for compressing a digital motion picture signal produced by said signal processing means, and a compression signal output circuit for outputting a compression signal produced by said digital motion picture compression circuit, mounted thereon.
- 2. An endoscopic imaging system, comprising:
an imaging apparatus for producing a video signal representing an object image formed by an endoscope; a signal processing circuit for processing the video signal representing the object image and produced by an imaging means; and a digital motion picture compression circuit for compressing a digital motion picture signal produced by said signal processing circuit, and a compression signal output circuit for outputting a compression signal produced by said digital motion picture compression circuit.
- 3. An endoscopic imaging system according to claim 2, wherein said signal processing circuit is mounted on a main substrate; and said digital motion picture compression circuit and said compression signal output circuit are mounted on an expansion substrate which is connected to said main substrate so that it can be disconnected freely.
- 4. An endoscopic imaging system according to claim 1, wherein said digital motion picture compression circuit compresses a digital motion picture signal into a digital video motion picture signal or compresses a digital motion picture signal in conformity with the MPEG2 standard, and said compression signal output circuit outputs a compression signal formatted according to the IEEE 1394 standard.
