Claims
- 1. A method of correcting image quality comprising:
- a first amplifying step for amplifying a signal relating to color with a first variable gain to output an amplified signal relating to color;
- controlling the first variable gain on the basis of a preset voltage value;
- detecting color density from the amplified signal relating to color;
- extracting a high-frequency component of a luminance signal;
- a second amplifying step for amplifying the extracted high-frequency component of the luminance signal with a second variable gain to output a second amplified signal;
- controlling said second amplifying step by increasing the second variable gain when the detected color density is high and reducing the second variable gain when the detected color density is low;
- further controlling said second amplifying step in accordance with the amplified signal relating to color;
- slicing the second amplified signal at a prescribed value to produce an image quality correction signal; and
- combining the image quality correction signal with the luminance signal and thereby outputting a corrected luminance signal.
- 2. The method of correcting image quality according to claim 1, further comprising;
- specifying the preset voltage value with a microcomputer.
- 3. The method of correcting image quality according to claim 1, further comprising:
- setting the preset voltage value with a variable resistor.
- 4. A method of correcting image quality comprising:
- a first amplifying step for amplifying a luminance signal and color-difference signals with a first variable gain to output an amplified signal relating to color;
- controlling the first variable gain on the basis of a preset voltage value;
- detecting color density from the amplified signal relating to color;
- extracting a high-frequency component of the luminance signal;
- a plurality of second amplifying steps each of which corresponds to a respective color-difference signal and which amplifies the extracted high-frequency component of the luminance signal with a second variable gain to output an image quality correction signal;
- controlling said second amplifying steps by increasing the second variable gains thereof when the detected color density is high and reducing the second variable gains thereof when the detected color density is low;
- further controlling said second amplifying steps in accordance with the amplified signal relating to color; and
- combining the image quality correction signals with the associated color-difference signals to be corrected and thereby outputting corrected color-difference signals.
- 5. The method of correcting image quality according to claim 4, further comprising:
- specifying the preset voltage value with a microcomputer.
- 6. The method of correcting image quality according to claim 4, further comprising:
- setting the preset voltage value with a variable resistor.
- 7. A method of correcting image quality comprising:
- a first amplifying step for amplifying a luminance signal and primary color signals with a first variable gain to output an amplified signal relating to color;
- controlling the first variable gain on the basis of a preset voltage value;
- detecting color density from the amplified signal relating to color;
- extracting a high-frequency component of the luminance signal;
- a plurality of second amplifying steps each of which corresponds to a respective primary color signal and which amplifies the extracted high-frequency component of the luminance signal with a second variable gain to output an image quality correction signal;
- controlling said second amplifying steps by increasing the second variable gains thereof when the detected color density is high and reducing the second variable gains thereof when the detected color density is low;
- further controlling said second amplifying steps in accordance with the amplified signal relating to color; and
- combining the image quality correction signals with the associated primary color signals to be corrected and thereby outputting corrected primary color signals.
- 8. The method of correcting image quality according to claim 7, further comprising:
- specifying the preset voltage value with a microcomputer.
- 9. The method of correcting image quality according to claim 7, further comprising:
- setting the preset voltage value with a variable resistor.
