Claims
- 1. An ink jet recording device for use in an image forming apparatus for recording an image of plural different colors onto a recording medium by a plurality of ink jet recording heads disposed at an image recording area, said ink jet recording device comprising:
- an endless conveying belt for conveying the recording medium;
- a first image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said first image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a first color of said plural colors, the first color having the highest contrast among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a second image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said second image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a second color of said plural colors, the second color being different from the first color;
- a roller for contacting said endless conveying belt and directly driving said endless conveying belt; and
- a drive mechanism for driving said roller,
- wherein a distance between said first and second image recording positions is equal to an integer multiple of a moving distance of the recording medium by said endless conveying belt in accordance with one rotation of said roller.
- 2. An ink jet recording device according to claim 1, wherein the second color is one of cyan, magenta and yellow.
- 3. An ink jet recording device according to claim 1, wherein the first color is black.
- 4. An ink jet recording device according to claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of the ink jet recording heads comprises an electrothermal converting element for generating thermal energy for discharging ink.
- 5. An ink jet recording device for use in an image forming apparatus for recording an image of plural different colors onto a recording medium by a plurality of ink jet recording heads disposed at an image recording area, said ink jet recording device comprising:
- an endless conveying belt for conveying the recording medium;
- a first image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said first image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a first color of said plural colors, the first color having the highest contrast among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a second image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said second image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a second color of said plural colors, the second color being different from the first color, the second color not having the lowest contrast among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a roller for contacting said endless conveying belt and directly driving said endless conveying belt; and
- a drive mechanism for driving said roller,
- wherein a distance between said first and second image recording positions is equal to an integer multiple of a moving distance of the recording medium by said endless conveying belt in accordance with one rotation of said roller.
- 6. An ink jet recording device according to claim 5, wherein the second color is one of cyan, magenta and yellow.
- 7. An ink jet recording device according to claim 5, wherein the first color is black.
- 8. An ink jet recording device according to claim 5, wherein each of the plurality of the ink jet recording heads comprises an electrothermal converting element for generating thermal energy for discharging ink.
- 9. An ink jet recording apparatus for recording an image of plural different colors onto a recording medium by a plurality of ink jet recording heads disposed at an image recording area, said ink jet recording apparatus comprising:
- an endless conveying belt for conveying the recording medium;
- a first image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said first image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a first color of said plural colors, the first color having the highest contrast among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a second image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said second image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a second color of said plural colors, the second color being different from the first color;
- a roller for contacting said endless conveying belt and directly driving said endless conveying belt; and
- a drive mechanism for driving said roller,
- wherein a distance between said first and second image recording positions is equal to an integer multiple of a moving distance of the recording medium by said endless conveying belt in accordance with one rotation of said roller.
- 10. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the second color is one of cyan, magenta and yellow.
- 11. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the first color is black.
- 12. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 9, wherein each of the plurality of the ink jet recording heads comprises an electrothermal converting element for generating thermal energy for discharging ink.
- 13. An ink jet recording apparatus for recording an image of plural different colors onto a recording medium by a plurality of ink jet recording heads disposed at an image recording area, said ink jet recording apparatus comprising:
- an endless conveying belt for conveying the recording medium;
- a first image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said first image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a first color of said plural colors, the first color having the highest contrast among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a second image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said second image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a second color of said plural colors, the second color being different from the first color, the second color not having the lowest contrast among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a roller for contacting said endless conveying belt and directly driving said endless conveying belt; and
- a drive mechanism for driving said roller,
- wherein a distance between said first and second image recording positions is equal to an integer multiple of a moving distance of the recording medium by said endless conveying belt in accordance with one rotation of said roller.
- 14. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 13, wherein the second color is one of cyan, magenta and yellow.
- 15. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 13, wherein the first color is black.
- 16. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 13, wherein each of the plurality of ink jet recording heads comprises an electrothermal converting element for generating thermal energy for discharging ink.
- 17. An ink jet recording device for use in an image forming apparatus for recording an image of plural different colors onto a recording medium by a plurality of ink jet recording heads disposed at an image recording area, said ink jet recording device comprising:
- an endless conveying belt for conveying the recording medium;
- a first image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said first image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a first color of said plural colors, the first color having the highest contrast with respect to the recording medium among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a second image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said second image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a second color of said plural colors, the second color being different from the first color;
- a roller for contacting said endless conveying belt and directly driving said endless conveying belt; and
- a drive mechanism for driving said roller,
- wherein a distance between said first and second image recording positions is equal to an integer multiple of a moving distance of the recording medium by said endless conveying belt in accordance with one rotation of said roller.
- 18. An ink jet recording device according to claim 17, wherein the second color is one of cyan, magenta and yellow.
- 19. An ink jet recording device according to claim 17, wherein the first color is black.
- 20. A ink jet recording device according to claim 17, wherein each of the plurality of the ink jet recording heads comprises an electrothermal converting element for generating thermal energy for discharging ink.
- 21. An ink jet recording device for use in an image forming apparatus for recording an image of plural different colors onto a recording medium by a plurality of ink jet recording heads disposed at an image recording area, said ink jet recording device comprising:
- an endless conveying belt for conveying the recording medium;
- a first image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said first image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a first color of said plural colors, the first color having the highest contrast with respect to the recording medium among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a second image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said second image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a second color of said plural colors, the second color being different from the first color, the second color not having the lowest contrast with respect to the recording medium among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a roller for contacting said endless conveying belt and directly driving said endless conveying belt; and
- a drive mechanism for driving said roller,
- wherein a distance between said first and second image recording positions is equal to an integer multiple of a moving distance of the recording medium by said endless conveying belt in accordance with one rotation of said roller.
- 22. An ink jet recording device according to claim 21, wherein the second color is one of cyan, magenta and yellow.
- 23. An ink jet recording device according to claim 21, wherein the first color is black.
- 24. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 21, wherein each of the plurality of ink jet recording heads comprises an electrothermal converting element for generating thermal energy for discharging ink.
- 25. An ink jet recording apparatus for recording an image of plural different colors onto a recording medium by a plurality of ink jet recording heads disposed at an image recording area, said ink jet recording apparatus comprising:
- an endless conveying belt for conveying the recording medium;
- a first image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said first image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a first color of said plural colors, the first color having the highest contrast with respect to the recording medium among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a second image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said second image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a second color of said plural colors, the second color being different from the first color;
- a roller for contacting said endless conveying belt and directly driving said endless conveying belt; and
- a drive mechanism for driving said roller,
- wherein a distance between said first and second image recording positions is equal to an integer multiple of a moving distance of the recording medium by said endless conveying belt in accordance with one rotation of said roller.
- 26. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the second color is one of cyan, magenta and yellow.
- 27. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the first color is black.
- 28. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 25, wherein each of the plurality of the ink jet recording heads comprises an electrothermal converting element for generating thermal energy for discharging ink.
- 29. An ink jet recording apparatus for recording an image of plural different colors onto a recording medium by a plurality of ink jet recording heads disposed at an image recording area, said ink jet recording apparatus comprising:
- an endless conveying belt for conveying the recording medium;
- a first image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said first image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a first color of said plural colors, the first color having the highest contrast with respect to the recording medium among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a second image recording position disposed at said image recording area, at said second image recording position the recording medium being recorded with a second color of said plural colors, the second color being different from the first color, the second color not having the lowest contrast with respect to the recording medium among colors recorded by the plurality of the ink jet recording heads;
- a roller for contacting said endless conveying belt and directly driving said endless conveying belt; and
- a drive mechanism for driving said roller,
- wherein a distance between said first and second image recording positions is equal to an integer multiple of a moving distance of the recording medium by said endless conveying belt in accordance with one rotation of said roller.
- 30. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 29, wherein the second color is one of cyan, magenta and yellow.
- 31. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 29, wherein the first color is black.
- 32. An ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 29, wherein each of the plurality of ink jet recording heads comprises an electrothermal converting element for generating thermal energy for discharging ink.
