Claims
- 1. A image signal recording system for recording an original image signal corresponding to an original picture comprised of m picture elements (m being an integer, m.gtoreq.4) onto a recording medium, in which said original picture is divided into m/n picture element blocks, each comprised of n picture elements (n being a measure, 2.ltoreq.n<m), and the image signals corresponding to the respective blocks are sampled on the basis of one kind of sampling mode out of a plurality of sampling modes involving different numbers of sampled picture elements and then recorded on the recording medium, comprising:
- (A) image information signal forming means arranged to sequentially receive said original image signal for each of the image signals corresponding to the picture element block, to form a first image information signal by sampling a first picture element among n picture elements, which constitute each received picture element block, on the basis of a first sampling mode and to form second image information signals by sampling second picture elements, different from said first picture element, on the basis of a second sampling mode;
- (B) head means arranged to trace said recording medium and to record signals thereon, thereby forming a recording track having first and second areas provided respectively in succession on said recording medium; and
- (C) supply means for supplying the first image information signal formed by said image signal information forming means to said head means during a term when said head means is tracing the first area on said recording medium and for supplying the second image information signals formed by said image signal information forming means to said head means during a term when said head means is tracing the second area of said recording medium.
- 2. A system according to claim 1, further comprising:
- (A) sampling mode indicating signal generating means arranged to restore the image signal corresponding to the n picture elements constituting each picture element block, for every picture element block, by using the first image information signal formed by said image information signal forming means on the basis of the first sampling mode, for each picture element block, to compare the restored image signal with the received original image signal, to select one kind of sampling out of said plurality of sampling modes in accordance with a result of the comparison, and to generate a sampling mode indicating signal representing a kind of the selected sampling mode.
- 3. A system according to claim 2, wherein said image information signal forming means includes:
- (A) sampling means arranged to sequentially receive said original image signal for all image signals corresponding to the picture element block and to sample first picture elements among the n picture elements, which constitute each of the received picture element blocks, on the basis of the first sampling mode, thereby forming first image information signals;
- (B) memory means arranged to sequentially receive said original image signal, for all image signals corresponding to the picture element block and to store the image signals corresponding to each received picture element block; and
- (C) read out means arranged to read out, in the case where the sampling mode indicating signal representing the second sampling mode is outputted from said sampling mode indicating signal generating means, image signals corresponding to the second picture elements different from said first picture elements out of the n picture elements, which constitute the picture element block corresponding to a sampling mode indicating signal representing said second sampling mode, among the image signals corresponding to each of the picture element blocks stored in said memory means, on the basis of said second sampling mode, thereby forming a second image information signal.
- 4. A system according to claim 3, wherein said memory means includes an image signal memory circuit which is arranged to sequentially receive said original image signal, for all image signals corresponding to the picture element block, and to sequentially store the received image signals corresponding to each of the picture element blocks.
- 5. A system according to claim 3, wherein said read out means includes:
- (A) a sampling mode indicating signal memory circuit for storing the sampling mode indicating signal generated by said sampling mode indicating signal generating means; and
- (B) a read out address designating circuit arranged to designate a read out address of the image signal stored in said image signal memory circuit according to the sampling mode indicating signal outputted from said sampling mode indicating signal memory circuit.
- 6. A system according to claim 5, wherein said sampling mode indicating signal memory circuit is so arranged that is outputs the sampling mode indicating signal to said read out address designating circuit during a period of time when said head means is tracing the second area on said recording medium.
- 7. An image signal recording system for recording an original image signal corresponding to an original picture comprised of m picture elements (m being an integer, m.gtoreq.4) on a recording medium, in which said original picture is divided into m/n picture elements blocks, each comprised of n picture elements (n being a measure, 2.ltoreq.n<m), and the image signals corresponding to the respective blocks are sampled on the basis of one kind of sampling mode among a plurality of sampling modes involving different numbers of sampled picture elements and then recorded on the recording medium, comprising:
- (A) image information signal forming means arranged to sequentially receive said original image signal, for each of the image signals corresponding to the picture element block, to form first image information signals by sampling first picture elements among the n picture elements, which constitute each received picture element block, on the basis of a first sampling mode and to form second image information signals by sampling second picture elements, different from said first picture elements, on the basis of a second sampling mode;
- (B) sampling mode indicating signal generating means arranged to restore the image signals corresponding to the n picture elements constituting each picture element block, for every picture element block, by using the first image information signal formed by said image information signal forming means, for each picture element block, to compare the restored image signal with the received original image signal, to select one kind of sampling modes out of said plurality of sampling modes in accordance with a result of the comparison and to generate a sampling mode indicating signal representing a kind of the selected sampling mode;
- (C) head means arranged to trace said recording medium and to record signals thereon, thereby forming a recording track having first and second areas provided respectively in succession on said recording medium;
- (D) output means arranged to output the first image information signal formed by said image information signal forming means during a period of time when said head means is tracing the first area on said recording medium and to output the second image information signal formed by said image information signal forming means during a period when said head means is tracing the second area on said recording medium; and
- (E) multiplexing means arranged to multiplex the image information signal outputted from said output means and the sampling mode indicating signal generated by said sampling mode indicating signal generating means and to supply the same to said head means.
- 8. A system according to claim 7, wherein said output means includes a change over switch circuit, and said change over switch circuit has two input terminals and one output terminal and is so arranged that one of said two input terminals is fed with the first image information signal formed by said image information signal forming means while the other one of said input terminals is fed with the second image information signal formed by said image information signal forming means, and when said head means starts the tracing of the recording track on the recording medium either one of the two input terminals is connected to said output terminal while the other input terminal is connected to said output terminal during a succeeding tracing operation of said head means on the recording track on said recording medium.
- 9. A system according to claim 7, wherein said multiplexing means includes:
- (A) recording signal conversion means arranged to convert the image information signal outputted form said output means into a recording signal in a form recordable on said recording medium;
- (B) a sampling mode indicating signal conversion circuit arranged to convert the sampling mode indicating signal generated by said sampling mode indicating signal generating means into a signal positioned at a lower frequency band than that of the recording signal outputted form said recording signal conversion circuit; and
- (C) a frequency multiplexing circuit arranged for frequency multiplexing the recording signal outputted form said recording signal conversion circuit and the sampling mode indicating signal outputted from said sampling mode indicating signal conversion circuit and converted to the signal positioned at a lower frequency band than that of said recording signal.
- 10. An image signal recording system for recording an original image signal corresponding to an original picture comprised of m picture elements (m being an integer, m.gtoreq.4) on a recording medium, in which said original picture is divided into m/n picture element blocks, each comprised of n picture elements (n being a measure, 2.ltoreq.n<m), and the image signal corresponding to the respective blocks are sampled on the basis of one kind of sampling mode among a plurality of sampling modes involving different numbers of sampled picture elements and then recording on the recording medium, comprising:
- (A) image information signal forming means arranged to sequentially receive said original image signal, for each of the image signals corresponding to the picture element block, to form first image information signals by sampling k picture elements (k being an integer, 1.ltoreq.k<n) out of the n picture elements which constitute each of the received picture element blocks on the basis of the first sampling mode, and to form a second image information signal by sampling j picture elements (j being an integer, 1.ltoreq.j.ltoreq.(n-k)) on the basis of the second sampling mode;
- (B) head means arranged to trace said recording medium and to record signals thereon, thereby forming a recording track having first and second areas provided respectively in succession on said recording medium; and
- (C) supply means for supplying the first image information signal formed by said image information signal forming means to said head means during the term when said head means is tracing the first area on said recording medium and for supplying the second image information signal formed by said image information signal forming means to said head means during the term when said head means is tracing the second area on said recording medium.
- 11. A system according to claim 10, wherein said image information recording system further comprises:
- separating means for separating a luminance signal and a color information signal from an analog color image signal of one picture;
- analog-to-digital converting means for converting the luminance signal and the color information signal separated by said separating means into digital signals, respectively;
- first time-base compressing means arranged to compress the digital luminance signal converted by said analog-to-digital conversion means and outputted therefrom into a signal which has been time-base compressed to 4/5 as compared to the original signal and to output the time-base compressed luminance signal;
- second time-base compressing means arranged to compress the digital color information signal which has been converted by said analog-to-digital converting means and outputted therefrom into a signal which is time-base compressed to 1/5 as compared to the original signal and to output the digital color information time-base compressed signal; and
- time-sharing multiplexing means for time-sharing multiplexing the compressed digital luminance signal outputted from said first time-base compressing means and the compressed digital color information signal outputted from said second time-base compressing means, thereby forming a digital image signal comprised of m picture elements and supplying said signal to said image signal forming means.
