Claims
- 1. A method of treating disorders of the central nervous system which comprises administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of one or more compounds of the formula I ##STR4## where X is a carboxyl group which can be in the form of its salt with a physiologically tolerated amine cation or metal cation; the radical ##STR5## where R.sup.3 is C.sub.1-8 -alkyl or benzyl; or X is a hydroxymethyl, cyano, formyl, tetrazolyl, carbonylaminotetrazole, carbamoyl, oxime or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxime ether group and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are identical and are hydrogen, chlorine or bromine atoms.
- 2. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein an effective amount of 7,8-dichloro-4,5-dihydro-4-oxo-imidazolo(1,2-a)-quinoxaline-2-carboxylic acid is administered to the patient.
