Claims
- 25.A method of replacing a sidewall of a frame for carrying the wheels of an in-line roller skate, said frame comprising a heel plate, a toe plate and a first and second sidewall, said first and second sidewalls each being attached to said heel plate and to said toe plate, the wheels being rotatably mounted between the first and second sidewalls, said method comprising the steps of :
- 26.A method according to Claim 25, wherein the replacement sidewall is of a different color than the first and second sidewalls.
- 27.A method according to Claim 25, wherein the replacement sidewall is formed of titanium.
- 28.A method according to Claim 25, wherein said unfastening step comprises unfastening both the first and second sidewalls and the wheels, and wherein the attaching step comprises releasably attaching a pair of sidewalls to the heel and toe plates and to a replacement set of wheels, wherein the replacement sidewalls are sized and configured to support wheels having a diameter different than the diameter of the wheels that are carried by the first and second sidewalls, and wherein each of the replacement set of wheels has a different diameter than the wheels comprising the first set of wheels.
- 29.A method of fabricating an in-line skate frame comprising the steps of:
- 30.A method according to Claim 29, wherein said sidewall members have two planar sides, and where said method further comprises the step of annodizing at least one side of said modular sidewall members.
- 31.A method according to Claim 29, wherein said sheet metal material is titanium.
- 32.A method according to Claim 29, wherein said sidewall members are interchangeable as a right or left sidewall in the in-line skate frame.
- 33.A method according to Claim 29, wherein said modular sidewall member is substantially devoid of transverse projections.
