Claims
- 1. An incontinent garment comprising:
- a shedding shield positioned next to the skin of the wearer which is substantially impermeable to liquids, wherein the shedding shield is a barrier web comprising a web that has been treated with a curable shear thinned thixotropic polymer composition;
- one or more absorbent pads positioned under the shedding shield; and
- an outer layer which is breathable and substantially impermeable to liquids, wherein the shedding shield is shaped to direct liquids toward the absorbent pad.
- 2. The incontinent garment of claim 1, wherein the absorbent pad is larger than the shedding shield.
- 3. The incontinent garment of claim 1, wherein the absorbent pad is smaller than the shedding shield.
- 4. The incontinent garment of claim 1, wherein the absorbent pad is disposable.
- 5. The incontinent garment of claim 4, wherein the shedding shield has one or more openings formed therein allowing some liquid to pass through to the absorbent pad.
