The present invention relates to an infant carrier and more particularly to an infant carrier that may be strapped between adjacent rows of a stadium bleacher.
The world is full of sporting events, and these events may be held inside such as basketball or may be held outside such as football. These events are usually held in a stadium which is designed to hold the maximum amount of people in order to view the sport. Usually, the bleachers are employed to control the seating in the stadium. The bleachers are usually a row of narrow planks for the people to sit and usually extend around the periphery of the playing field in order to give people a substantially equal opportunity to see the playing field. In order to accommodate a substantial number of people, successive rows of narrow planks are positioned such that the next row of planks are positioned directly behind each row of bleacher. The next row of bleachers are usually raised sufficiently in order that the people can see over the heads of the people directly in front of them. The space between rows of bleachers are usually narrow in order to only accommodate the legs of the people.
The bleachers may or may not have a back support. A problem with these bleachers is that there is no easy way to restrain an infant using the structure of the bleachers. Using a conventional cradle or car seat is difficult because these cannot be fastened into the bleachers or the support structures. As such, a parent of the infant may be forced to hold the infant for the entire time of the sporting event. In that the event may last for several hours, this could be a severe strain on the parents. Consequently, it would be desirable to be able to employ the structure of the bleachers in order to safely and comfortably provide a infant carrier which may employ the structure of the bleachers.
An infant carrier for carrying the infant may include a first bleacher; a second bleacher lower than the first bleacher; a first sheet for holding the infant substantially horizontal between the first bleacher and the second bleacher; a second sheet for connecting to the second bleacher; and a third sheet for connecting to the first bleacher. The infant carrier may include straps connected to the second sheet and the third sheet for securing the infant carrier to the first bleacher and the second bleacher.
The infant carrier may include a fourth sheet connected to the second sheet and connected to the second bleacher.
The infant carrier may include a fourth sheet connected to the first sheet and connected to the first bleacher.
The width of the third sheet may exceed the width of the second sheet.
The first sheet may be a multilayer sheet.
The first sheet may include a first layer of flexible cloth.
The first sheet may include a second layer of padding.
The first sheet may include a third layer of cloth.
The second sheet may be formed from webbing.
The third sheet may be formed from webbing.

The first sheet 105 may be multilayered and may include a top layer 113, a bottom layer 117 which may be opposed to the top layer 113 and a center layer 115 which may be sandwiched between the top layer 113 and the bottom layer 117. The top layer 113 may be formed from a flexible material such as cloth, plastic, or combination of cloth and plastic or other appropriate material in order to provide a comfortable surface for the infant. Likewise, the third layer 117 maybe formed from a flexible material such as cloth, plastic, a combination of cloth and plastic or other appropriate material in order to support the infant. The second layer 115 may include a flexible padding material such as cloth, plastic or other appropriate material in order to provide support and comfort to the infant.
The second sheet 103 may be formed from a flexible webbing material which may be formed from plastic or cloth or other appropriate material in order to provide flexibility and to provide airflow through the second sheet 103. The third sheet 105 may be formed from a flexible webbing material which may be formed from plastic or cloth or other appropriate material in order to provide flexibility and to provide airflow through the third sheet 105.
The fourth sheet 107 and the fifth sheet 109 may be formed in a similar fashion to the first sheet 101 with a top layer 121, a bottom layer 125 which may be opposed to the top layer 121 and a center layer 125 which may be sandwiched between the top layer 121 and the bottom layer 125. The top layer 121 and the bottom layer 125 may be formed from a flexible material such as cloth, plastic, a combination of cloth and plastic or a similar type material. The center layer 123 may be formed from flexible padding material in order to provide flexibility and may include cloth and plastic or other appropriate material.
The width W1 of the third sheet 105 may be larger than the width W2 of the second sheet 103 in order to provide a substantially horizontal first sheet 101. This is to recognize that the third sheet 105 will connect to the higher bleacher and the second sheet 103 will connect to the lower bleacher.
The first sheet 105 may be multilayered and may include a top layer 113, a bottom layer 117 which may be opposed to the top layer 113 and a center layer 115 which may be sandwiched between the top layer 113 and the bottom layer 117. The top layer 113 may be formed from a flexible material such as cloth, plastic, or combination of cloth and plastic or other appropriate material in order to provide a comfortable surface for the infant. Likewise, the third layer 117 maybe formed from a flexible material such as cloth, plastic, a combination of cloth and plastic or other appropriate material in order to support the infant. The second layer 115 may include a flexible padding material such as cloth, plastic or other appropriate material in order to provide support and comfort to the infant.
The second sheet 103 may be formed from a flexible webbing material which may be formed from plastic or cloth or other appropriate material in order to provide flexibility and to provide airflow through the second sheet 103. The third sheet 105 may be formed from a flexible webbing material which may be formed from plastic or cloth or other appropriate material in order to provide flexibility and to provide airflow through the third sheet 105.
The fourth sheet 107 and the fifth sheet 109 may be formed in a similar fashion to the first sheet 101 with a top layer 121, a bottom layer 125 which may be opposed to the top layer 121 and a center layer 125 which may be sandwiched between the top layer 121 and the bottom layer 125. The top layer 121 and the bottom layer 125 may be formed from a flexible material such as cloth, plastic, a combination of cloth and plastic or a similar type material. The center layer 123 may be formed from flexible padding material in order to provide flexibility and may include cloth and plastic or other appropriate material.
The width W1 of the third sheet 105 may be larger than the width W2 of the second sheet 103 in order to provide a substantially horizontal first sheet 101. This is to recognize that the third sheet 105 will connect to the higher bleacher and the second sheet 103 will connect to the lower bleacher.

The width W1 of the third sheet 105 may be larger than the width W2 of the second sheet 103 in order to provide a substantially horizontal first sheet 101. This is to recognize that the third sheet 105 will connect to the higher bleacher and the second sheet 103 will connect to the lower bleacher.
While the invention is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms, specific embodiments thereof have been shown by way of example in the drawings and are herein described in detail. It should be understood, however, that the description herein of specific embodiments is not intended to limit the invention to the particular forms disclosed.
