The present subject matter relates to one piece baby garments, sleep sacks and swaddles a baby wears when there is a need to change a baby or infant's diapers without disturbing the child. New parents wind up using more diapers than needed due to having to open the diaper completely to check if the child has soiled the diaper.
Most parents are constantly worried about whether their child has soiled their diapers. If a child sits in soiled diapers for too long, it can result and diaper rash among other problems. The present subject matter allows for quick diaper checks.
Onesie garments, other one piece garments, sleepsacks and swaddles are prevalent on the baby clothing market; however, they do not allow for easy viewing of the diaper from the back to see if the diaper is soiled. Parents often don't know if a diaper change is needed just based on the sounds a baby makes.
It could just be flatulence which doesn't require an immediate diaper change. Having an easy way to check if the diaper needs to be changed solves a very common problem among new parents and caretakers.
While other garments on the market such as U.S. Pat. No. 10,925,325 exist, they all have various shortcomings. For example, while U.S. Pat. No. 10,925,325 has a viewing hole near the diaper it doesn't have the same type of opening and closing of the garment for easy access to the diaper without disturbing the child. The larger opening also allows for a more thorough inspection of the diaper area.
With current bodysuits parents have to remove the lower portion of clothing and open the diaper to check and see if the diaper needs to be changed. Once the diaper is opened, the diaper clasps don't grip as well and the diaper has to be changed regardless of how soiled it is. Current designs are also difficult to slip past the baby's head, and the tiny snaps are difficult with a wiggling baby.
The present subject matter allows for direct access to the back top of the diaper for diaper checks. The garment also allows for easier diaper changes by placing the baby on top of a clean diaper and simply pulling the bottom flap over the child's legs while the baby is on their back and there is no garment material to move out of the way.
The present subject matter has an overlap of the top and bottom portion of the garment on the top back diaper line to absorb more of a bowel movement too large for a diaper to contain. This extra fabric layer at the back top of the diaper better absorbs top back (stool) diaper leakage due to the top and bottom portion overlap of the garment opening.
The present subject matter is also easier to put over the child's head due to the positioning of the back opening with less material to pull over the child. There are also no snaps to struggle with due to the pull over style.
