Claims
- 1. A method for providing multitasking information processing, comprising the steps of:(a) providing a plurality of turntables each for detachably storing an optical disc thereon; (b) affording a plurality of optical units each comprising a driving means and an optical read head, wherein said driving means is provided for moving said optical read head in a radial direction of said optical disc to a predetermined disc position on one surface of a selected optical disc; (c) simultaneously controlling a plurality of said driving means so as to move a plurality of said optical read heads in radial directions of said optical disc to a plurality of predetermined disc positions for simultaneously retrieving said information stored thereon; (d) enabling signal-process means capable of multitaskingly processing a plurality of information sets retrieved by said plurality of optical read heads; and (e) rendering data transmitting means capable of transmitting a plurality of said information sets processed by said signal-process means.
- 2. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 1, wherein said simultaneously controlling is adapted to comprise (i) random access memory, (ii) instructions stored in said random access memory, and (iii) microprocessor means for executing said instructions and for issuing control signals accordingly to coordinately control the plurality of said optical units in performing information retrieving multitaskingly or simultaneously.
- 3. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 1, wherein said enabling is further adapted for enabling said signal-process means to comprise video circuitry for processing video information retrieved selectively from a digital video disc or a multimedia disc into video images.
- 4. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 1, wherein said enabling is adapted for enabling said signal-process means to further comprise at least one digital-to-analog converter and at least one audio amplifier for processing audio information retrieved selectively from a digital audio disc, an audio compact disc, a digital video disc or a multimedia disc to produce sound effects.
- 5. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 1, wherein said enabling is further adapted for enabling said signal-process means capable of multitaskingly processing said plurality of information sets retrieved from optical discs selected from the group consisting of a software-program optical disc, a digital audio optical disc, an audio compact disc, a digital video disc, a multimedia disc, and their combinations.
- 6. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 1, wherein said enabling is further adapted for said signal-process means to comprise a decoder and random access memory.
- 7. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 6, wherein said enabling is further adapted for enabling (i) said decoder for multitasking decoding a set of digital signals retrieved by a respective one of said optical read heads into the original state of a respective information set and (ii) said random access memory as temporary storage during decoding and resembling said digital signals into said respective original state.
- 8. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 1, wherein said rendering is further adapted for rendering said transmitting means to comprise random access memory used as buffer memory storage so as to transmit said information sets in multitasking.
- 9. A method for providing multitasking information processing, comprising the steps of:(a) providing a plurality of turntables each for detachably storing an optical disc thereon; (b) affording a plurality of optical units each comprising a driving means and an optical read head, wherein said driving means is provided for moving said optical read head in a radial direction of said optical disc to a predetermined disc position on one surface of a selected optical disc; (c) simultaneously controlling a plurality of said driving means so as to move a plurality of said optical read heads in radial directions of said optical disc to a plurality of predetermined disc positions for simultaneously retrieving said information stored thereon; (d) enabling signal-process means capable of simultaneously processing a plurality of information sets retrieved by said plurality of optical read heads; and (e) rendering data transmitting means capable of transmitting a plurality of said information sets processed by said signal-process means.
- 10. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 9, wherein said simultaneously controlling is adapted to comprise (i) random access memory, (ii) instructions stored in said random access memory, and (iii) microprocessor means for executing said instructions and for issuing control signals accordingly to coordinately control the plurality of said optical units in performing information retrieving simultaneously.
- 11. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 9, wherein said enabling is further adapted for enabling said signal-process means to comprise video circuitry for processing video information retrieved selectively from a digital video disc or a multimedia disc into video images.
- 12. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 9, wherein said enabling is adapted for enabling said signal-process means to further comprise at least one digital-to-analog converter and at least one audio amplifier for processing audio information retrieved selectively from a digital audio disc, an audio compact disc, a digital video disc or a multimedia disc to produce sound effects.
- 13. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 9, wherein said enabling is further adapted for enabling said signal-process means capable of multitaskingly or simultaneously processing said plurality of information sets retrieved from optical discs selected from the group consisting of a software-program optical disc, a digital audio optical disc, an audio compact disc, a digital video disc, a multimedia disc, and their combinations.
- 14. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 9, wherein said enabling is further adapted for said signal-process means to comprise a plurality of signal-process systems each comprising a decoder and random access memory.
- 15. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 14, wherein said enabling is further adapted for enabling (i) said decoders each for decoding a set of digital signals retrieved by a respective one of said optical read heads into the original state of a respective information set and (ii) said random access memory each as temporary storage during decoding and resembling said digital signals into said respective original state, so as to simultaneously process the plurality of said information sets.
- 16. The method for providing multitasking information processing of claim 9, wherein said rendering is further adapted for rendering said transmitting means to comprise random access memory used as buffer memory storage so as to transmit said information sets in multitasking.
