Claims
- 1. An information processing apparatus, comprising:
a body having a main reference surface; an extended station having an upper surface on which the body is detachably mounted and a notch at a fixed location within the extended station, the notch having an inclined surface at a fixed relationship with respect to said upper surface; and a speaker having an uncovered sound radiation surface when the body is mounted on the extended station, the sound radiation surface being disposed on said inclined surface of said notch, the speaker being fixedly mounted to the body, and immobile relatively thereto, and facing the reference surface of the body when the body is detachably mounted on the upper surface of the extended station.
- 2. An information processing apparatus, comprising:
a body having a main reference surface; an extended station on which the body is detachably mounted, the extended station having left and right sidewalls; and a pair of speakers received within and fixedly mounted to the body at respective, fixed locations therein so as to be immobile relatively thereto and so as not to protrude from the body, each speaker having an uncovered sound radiation surface when the body is mounted on the extended station, the sound radiation surface being disposed on an inclined surface extending into the body, at a fixed relationship relatively to the main reference surface and from a fixed location on a respective one of the left and right sidewalls.
- 3. An information processing apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein the body has a thickness measured transversely to the main reference surface thereof which is substantially equal to the height of the speaker in a direction transverse to the main reference surface and such that the speaker is contained within the thickness of the body.
- 4. An information processing apparatus as recited in claim 2, wherein the body has a thickness measured transversely to the main reference surface thereof which is substantially equal to the height of the speaker in a direction transverse to the main reference surface and such that the speaker is contained within the thickness of the body.
- 5. A portable type apparatus as set forth in claim 1, wherein an angle between the inclined surface and said main reference surface is selected to optimize the sound radiating area of the speaker relative to the thickness of the body.
- 6. A portable type apparatus as set forth in claim 2, wherein an angle between the inclined surface and said main reference surface is selected to optimize the sound radiating area of the speaker relative to the thickness of the body.
