Abstract

An information processing apparatus includes a determination unit determining whether a sheet set in a print condition is included in a list of printable sheets supported by a printing apparatus, an acquisition unit obtaining a sheet size supported by the printing apparatus if the determination unit determines that the sheet set in the print condition is not included in the list of printable sheets, and a print processing unit executing print processing based on the sheet size obtained by the acquisition unit.

Claims

1. An information processing apparatus comprising: a determination unit configured to determine whether a sheet set in a print condition is included in a list of printable sheets supported by a printing apparatus;an acquisition unit configured to obtain a sheet size supported by the printing apparatus if the determination unit determines that the sheet set in the print condition is not included in the list of printable sheets; anda print processing unit configured to execute print processing based on the sheet size obtained by the acquisition unit.

2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a setting unit configured to set the sheet set in the print condition as final setting if the determination unit determines that the sheet set in the print condition is included in the list of printable sheets supported by the printing apparatus, wherein the print processing unit executes print processing based on the sheet set by the setting unit.

3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a setting unit configured to set a predetermined sheet if a sheet size is not included in ancillary information of the sheet set in the print condition, wherein the print processing unit executes print processing based on the predetermined sheet set by the setting unit.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the print condition is set according to a format defined by a predefined schema.

5. A method comprising: determining whether a sheet set in a print condition is included in a list of printable sheets supported by a printing apparatus;obtaining a sheet size supported by the printing apparatus if it is determined that the sheet set in the print condition is not included in the list of printable sheets; andexecuting print processing based on the obtained sheet size.

6. The method according to claim 5, further comprising: setting the sheet set in the print condition as final setting if it is determined that the sheet set in the print condition is included in the list of printable sheets supported by the printing apparatus; andexecuting print processing based on the set sheet.

7. The method according to claim 5, further comprising: setting a predetermined sheet if a sheet size is not included in ancillary information of the sheet set in the print condition; andexecuting print processing based on the predetermined sheet.

8. The method according to claim 5, wherein the print condition is set according to a format defined by a predefined schema.

9. A computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed by an apparatus, causes the apparatus to perform operations comprising: determining whether a sheet set as a print condition for printing print data is included in a list of printable sheets supported by a printing apparatus; andobtaining a sheet size if it is determined that the sheet set in the print condition is not included in the list of printable sheets.

10. The computer-readable medium according to claim 9, wherein the operations further comprises processing print data using the obtained sheet size.

11. The computer-readable medium according to claim 9, wherein the operations further comprises setting the sheet set in the print condition as final setting if it is determined that the sheet set in the print condition is included in the list of printable sheets supported by the printing apparatus, and executing print processing based on the set sheet.

12. The computer-readable medium according to claim 9, wherein the operations further comprises setting a predetermined sheet if a sheet size is not included in ancillary information of the sheet set in the print condition, and executing print processing based on the predetermined sheet.

13. The computer-readable medium according to claim 9, wherein the print condition is set according to a format defined by a predefined schema.

14. An information processing apparatus, comprising a first determination unit configured to determine whether a sheet set in sheet setting is included in a list of printable sheets supported by a printing apparatus;a second determination unit configured to determine whether the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in a list of sheets registered in an operating system if the first determination unit determines that the sheet set in the sheet setting is not included in the list of printable sheets;an acquisition unit configured to obtain a sheet size corresponding to a sheet included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system if the second determination unit determines that the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system; anda print processing unit configured to execute print processing based on the sheet size obtained by the acquisition unit.

15. The information processing apparatus according to claim 14, further comprising a setting unit configured to set the sheet set in the sheet setting as final setting if the first determination unit determines that the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in the list of printable sheets, wherein the print processing unit executes print processing based on the sheet set by the setting unit.

16. The information processing apparatus according to claim 14, further comprising a setting unit configured to set a predetermined sheet if the second determination unit determines that the sheet set in the sheet setting is not included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system, wherein the print processing unit executes print processing based on the predetermined sheet set by the setting unit.

17. A method comprising: determining whether a sheet set in sheet setting is included in a list of printable sheets supported by a printing apparatus;determining whether the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in a list of sheets registered in an operating system if it is determined that the sheet set in the sheet setting is not included in the list of printable sheets;obtaining a sheet size corresponding to a sheet included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system if it is determined that the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system; andexecuting print processing based on the obtained sheet size.

18. The method according to claim 17, further comprising setting the sheet set in the sheet setting as final setting if it is determined that the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in the list of printable sheets, and executing print processing based on the set sheet.

19. The method according to claim 17, further comprising setting a predetermined sheet if it is determined that the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system, and executing print processing based on the predetermined sheet.

20. A computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed by an apparatus, causes the apparatus to perform operations comprising: determining whether a sheet set in sheet setting is included in a list of printable sheets supported by a printing apparatus;determining whether the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in a list of sheets registered in an operating system if it is determined that the sheet set in the sheet setting is not included in the list of printable sheets; andobtaining a sheet size corresponding to a sheet included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system if it is determined that the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system.

21. The computer-readable medium according to claim 20, wherein the operations further comprises processing print data using the obtained sheet size.

22. The computer-readable medium according to claim 20, wherein the operations further comprises setting the sheet set in the sheet setting as final setting if it is determined that the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in the list of printable sheets, and executing print processing based on the set sheet.

23. The computer-readable medium according to claim 20, wherein the operations further comprises setting a predetermined sheet if it is determined that the sheet set in the sheet setting is included in the list of sheets registered in the operating system, and executing print processing based on the predetermined sheet.

24. An apparatus comprising: a determination unit to determine if a sheet configuration designated by an application as a print condition for printing print data is included in a list of sheet configurations supported by a printer; anda sheet configuration setting unit to set a sheet configuration supported by the printer as the print condition for printing the print data if the determination determines that the sheet configuration designated by the application is not included in the list of sheet configurations supported by the printer.

25. The apparatus according to claim 24, further comprising: a print data processing unit to process print data based on the sheet configuration set by the sheet configuration setting unit.
