Claims
- 1. A reproduction apparatus for reproducing data from a recording disk, said recording disk having a data area where data to be decoded is recorded, said data area storing management data required for reproducing data from the data area, storing control data, and having an interleaved block section where video signals that represent a plurality of scenes are divided and arranged as interleaved units, said interleaved units of different scenes being recorded on recording tracks in a mixed state, said control data being recorded in each of the interleaved units and describing information indicative of mixed-state arrangement of said interleaved units of different scenes and addresses indicative of next interleaved units comprising jump destinations of each scene, said reproduction apparatus comprising system control means that include: means for reading control data each time one of said interleaved units to which the control data belongs is reproduced, for identifying the information indicative of mixed-state arrangement of the interleaved units, and for determining addresses of next interleaved units comprising next jump destinations of each scene, means, responsive to operational information regarding scene switching, for controlling a read position at which data is read from the recording disk, so as to change a reproduction stream of one of said interleaved units by referring to the addresses of the next interleaved units corresponding to the scene included in the control data; and means for determining jump destinations of said next interleaved units corresponding to respective scenes on the bases of the control data included in the interleaved units that are acquired at the read position, so as to accommodate scene switching.
- 2. A disk reproduction method in which data is reproduced from a recording disk having a data area where data to be decoded is recorded, said data area storing management data required for reproducing data from the data area, storing control data, and having an interleaved block section where video signals that represent a plurality of scenes are divided and arranged as interleaved units, said interleaved units of different scenes being recorded on recording tracks in a mixed state, said control data being recorded in each of the interleaved units and describing information indicative of mixed-state arrangements of said interleaved units of different scenes, and addresses indicative of next interleaved units comprising jump destinations of each scene, said reproduction method comprising: reading control data each time one of said interleaved units to which the control data belongs is reproduced, subsequently identifying the information indicative of mixed-state arrangement of the interleaved units, and then determining addresses of next interleaved units comprising next jump destinations of each scene; controlling a read position at which data is read from the recording disk, in response to receipt of operational information regarding scene switching, so as to change a reproduction stream of one of said interleaved units by referring to the addresses of the next interleaved units corresponding to the scene included in the control data; and determining jump destinations of next interleaved units corresponding to respective scenes on the bases of the control data included in the interleaved units that are acquired at the read position, so as to accommodate scene switching.
- 3. A reproduction apparatus for reproducing data from a recording disk, said recording disk storing management data required for reproducing data from a data area, storing video objects arranged in interleaved blocks wherein said video objects represent a plurality of scenes that are divided and recorded in a mixed state as interleaved units, said recording disk also storing control data as navigation packs in each of the interleaved units, said interleaved units including information indicative of mixed-state arrangement of said interleaved units and addresses of next interleaved units corresponding to a particular scene, said reproduction apparatus comprising; a system control having a reading element which reads said control data each time one of said interleaved units is reproduced, identifies the information indicative of mixed-state arrangement of the interleaved units, and determines the address of one of said next interleaved units corresponding to the particular scene; a controller which changes the reproduction stream of one of said interleaved units according to the addresses of the next interleaved units corresponding to the particular scene included in the control data; and a jump determination element which determines jump destinations of the next interleaved units corresponding to the particular scene on the bases of the control data included in the interleaved units, so as to accomplish smooth scene switching.
- 4. The reproduction apparatus of claim 3, wherein the control data further comprises the size of the next interleaved unit.
