Claims
- 1. A method for the treatment or prevention of a cell-mediated disorder in a vertebrate animal comprising administering to said vertebrate animal afflicted with or at risk to a cell-mediated disorder a therapeutically- or prophylactically-effective quantity of In-EDTA or Tl-EDTA.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein said vertebrate animal is a human.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein said cell-mediated disorder affects calcium metabolism or inflammation.
- 4. The method of claim 3, wherein said cell-mediated disorder is osteoporosis, Paget's disease, or hypercalcemia.
- 5. The method of claim 3, wherein said cell-mediated disorder is due to an inflammatory response.
- 6. The method of claim 1, wherein said method further comprises administering to said vertebrate animal a chelating agent that stops said therapeutic or prophylactic effect of said In-EDTA or Tl-EDTA.
- 7. The method of claim 6, wherein said chelating agent is selected from the group consisting of EGTA, CDTA, and DPTA.
