- 3. A method according to claim 2, wherein after injection of the liquid, said liquid filling opening is sealed by a sealing member.
- 4. A method according to claim 1, wherein in said injecting step, the liquid filling member is in fluid communication with a liquid container, the container containing the liquid to be injected.
- 5. A method according to claim 1, wherein after said liquid accommodating portion is filled with the liquid, the liquid supplied through said gap fills said negative pressure producing material in said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion.
- 6. A method according to claim 5, wherein said liquid filling step is terminated after the liquid reaches a portion of said negative pressure producing material adjacent to said liquid supply port and before the liquid reaches a portion of said negative pressure producing material adjacent to said air vent.
- 7. A method according to claim 1, wherein said liquid filling member has an opening for injecting the liquid at an end thereof.
- 8. A method according to claim 7, wherein the liquid is injected at a speed not higher than 2 cc/sec.
- 9. A method according to claim 1, wherein said filling member has an opening formed before an end thereof.
- 10. A method according to claim 9, wherein the liquid is injected at a speed not higher than 4 cc/sec.
- 11. A method of filling a liquid into a liquid cartridge from which the liquid can be supplied to a recording head for liquid printing, said method comprising the steps of:providing said liquid cartridge divided internally into a first chamber and a second chamber, said second chamber accommodating a negative pressure producing material and having an air vent and a liquid supply port, and said first chamber having a liquid filling opening and accommodating directly the liquid to be supplied to the recording head, said liquid cartridge further including a partition wall between said first and second chambers, said partition wall having a gap for supplying liquid from said first chamber to said second chamber, said gap being formed between said partition wall and a bottom wall of said cartridge; preparing said liquid cartridge by opening said liquid supply port or opening both said air vent and said liquid supply port; orienting the liquid cartridge such that said gap is disposed at a top location of said first chamber; filling said first chamber with said liquid by sealingly connecting a liquid filling member to said liquid filling opening, with said second chamber being open to ambience pursuant to said preparing step; permitting the liquid in said first chamber to seep into said negative pressure producing material to absorb liquid adjacent said liquid supply port earlier than liquid adjacent said air vent; and terminating liquid filling before the liquid reaches a portion of said negative pressure producing material adjacent said air vent.
- 12. A method according to claim 11, wherein said liquid filling opening is formed in said bottom wall of said first chamber, and is sealed after said terminating step.
- 13. A method according to claim 11, wherein said liquid filling opening is formed in said top wall of said first chamber, and is sealed after said terminating step.
- 14. A liquid filling method for filling a liquid cartridge with a liquid to be supplied to a recording head, the method comprising the steps of:providing said liquid cartridge having a negative pressure producing material accommodating portion and a liquid accommodating portion, said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion accommodating a negative pressure producing material and having an air vent and a liquid supply port, and said liquid accommodating portion having a liquid filling opening and accommodating directly the liquid to be supplied to the recording head, said liquid cartridge further including a partition wall between said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion and said liquid accommodating portion, said partition wall having a gap for supplying liquid from said liquid accommodating portion to said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion, said gap being formed between said partition wall and a bottom wall of said cartridge; connecting a liquid filling member to said liquid filling opening, wherein a sealed state is established between said filling opening and said liquid filling member when said liquid filling member is connected to said liquid filling opening; orienting the liquid cartridge such that said gap is disposed at a top location of said liquid accommodating portion; and directly filling the liquid through said liquid filling member into said liquid accommodating portion while said liquid supply port is open to ambience, such that said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion is open to ambience.
- 15. A liquid filling method for filling a liquid cartridge with a liquid to be supplied to a recording head, the method comprising the steps of:providing said liquid cartridge having a negative pressure producing material accommodating portion and a liquid accommodating portion, said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion accommodating a negative pressure producing material and having an air vent and a liquid supply port, and said liquid accommodating portion having a liquid filling opening and accommodating directly the liquid to be supplied to the recording head, said liquid cartridge further including a partition wall between said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion and said liquid accommodating portion, said partition wall having a gap for supplying liquid from said liquid accommodating portion to said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion, said gap being formed between said partition wall and a bottom wall of said cartridge; connecting a liquid filling member to said liquid filling opening, wherein a sealed state is established between said filling opening and said liquid filling member when said liquid filling member is connected to said liquid filling opening; orienting the liquid cartridge such that said gap is disposed at an upper location of said liquid accommodating portion; and directly filling the liquid through said liquid filling member into said liquid accommodating portion while said liquid supply port is open to ambience, such that said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion is open to ambience, thereby supplying the liquid into said liquid accommodating chamber, while forcing air from said liquid accommodating portion through said gap into said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion and then to an outside of said liquid container through said negative pressure producing material and through said liquid supply port.
- 16. A liquid filling method for filling a liquid cartridge with a liquid to be supplied to a recording head, the method comprising the steps of:providing said liquid cartridge having a negative pressure producing material accommodating portion and a liquid accommodating portion, said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion accommodating a negative pressure producing material and having an air vent and a liquid supply port, and said liquid accommodating portion having a liquid filling opening and accommodating directly the liquid to be supplied to the recording head, said liquid cartridge further including a partition wall between said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion and said liquid accommodating portion, said partition wall having a gap for supplying liquid from said liquid accommodating portion to said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion, said gap being formed between said partition wall and a bottom wall of said cartridge; connecting a liquid filling member to said liquid filling opening, wherein a sealed state is established between said liquid filling opening and said liquid filling member when said liquid filling member is connected to said liquid filling opening; orienting the liquid cartridge such that said gap is disposed at an upper location of said liquid accommodating portion; directly filling the liquid through said liquid filling member into said liquid accommodating portion while said liquid supply port is open to ambience, such that said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion is open to ambience, thereby supplying the liquid into said liquid accommodating chamber, while forcing air from said liquid accommodating portion through said gap into said negative pressure producing material accommodating portion and then to an outside of said liquid container through said negative pressure producing material and through said liquid supply port; and further filling the liquid through said liquid filling member into said liquid accommodating portion to supply the liquid through said gap into at least a part of said negative pressure producing material.
