Claims
- 1. An ink jet recording head comprising:
- a member forming an ink flow path communicating with an opening for discharging ink therefrom; and
- an electro-mechanical converting element provided along said ink flow path at an ink acting surface inclined with respect to an ink flow direction so as to increase the sectional area of said ink flow path toward said ink discharging opening.
- 2. An ink jet recording head according to claim 1, wherein said ink flow path has a hollow pipe shape and said electro-mechanical converting element surrounds said ink flow path.
- 3. An ink jet recording head according to claim 1, wherein the sectional shape of said ink flow path is a circular.
- 4. An ink jet recording head according to claim 1, wherein the sectional shape of said ink flow path is rectangular.
- 5. An ink jet recording head according to claim 1, wherein a filter is provided in said ink flow path upstream of said electro-mechanical converting element.
- 6. A recording apparatus having an ink jet recording head according to claim 1.
- 7. An ink jet recording head comprising:
- a member forming an ink flow path communicating with an opening for discharging ink therefrom; and
- an electro-mechanical converting element provided along said ink flow path,
- wherein the sectional area of said ink flow path, perpendicular to a direction of flow of the ink in said ink flow path, increases in the direction of flow in an area in which said electro-mechanical converting element is arranged and downstream of said area, and then decreases.
- 8. An ink jet recording head according to claim 7, wherein said ink flow path has a hollow pipe shape and said electro-mechanical converting element surrounds said ink flow path.
- 9. An ink jet recording head according to claim 7, wherein the sectional shape of said ink flow path is circular.
- 10. An ink jet recording head according to claim 7, wherein the sectional shape of said ink flow path is rectangular.
- 11. An ink jet recording head according to claim 7, wherein a filter is provided in said ink flow path upstream of said electro-mechanical converting element.
- 12. A recording apparatus having an ink jet recording head according to claim 7.
- 13. An ink jet recording head comprising:
- a member forming an ink flow path communicating with an opening for discharging ink therefrom; and
- an electro-pressure converting element provided along said ink flow path at an ink acting surface inclined with respect to an ink flow direction so as to increase the sectional area of said ink flow path toward said ink discharging opening.
- 14. An ink jet recording head comprising:
- a member forming an ink flow path communicating with an opening for discharging ink therefrom; and
- an electro-pressure converting element provided along said ink flow path, wherein the section area of said ink flow path, perpendicular to a direction of flow of the ink in said ink flow path, increases in the direction of flow in an area in which said electro-pressure converting element is arranged and downstream of said area, and then decreases.
- 15. An ink jet recording head having:
- a plurality of discharge openings for discharging ink;
- a plurality of energy generating elements disposed corresponding to said ink discharge openings for generating discharge energy to discharge ink; and
- an ink path communicated with each said discharge opening for retaining ink to be acted on by the discharge energy generated by said corresponding energy generating element, each said ink path having a first area for receiving directly the discharge energy generated by said energy generating element and a second area continuing from the first area and extending to said discharge opening, wherein the cross section of the first area increases gradually toward the second area and the cross section of the second area decreases gradually from the first area to said discharge opening.
- 16. An ink jet recording apparatus for recording using the recording head recited in claim 15, comprising:
- a driver for applying a drive signal to the recording head for discharging ink in accordance with recording data; and
- a feedmotor for feeding a recording sheet on which the ink is deposited when the recording sheet is disposed in a position opposing the recording head.
