Claims
- 1. An ink ribbon cassette which is adapted to be detachably loaded on a recording apparatus having a recording head capable of recording information on a recording medium supported by a platen, said ink ribbon cassette comprising a substantially box-shaped casing having by an upper case and a lower case which are connected to each other at their vertical walls, said casing having a first side wall facing said platen and a second side wall opposing said first side wall, a recessed portion formed in one end of said first side wall and capable of receiving said recording head, engaging portion provided on said second side wall and adapted for engagement with retaining member on said recording apparatus, a pair of through holes constituted by pairs of apertures formed in the portions of said upper and lower cases adjacent to said first side wall, said through holes being adapted for receiving locating members on said recording apparatus so as to locate said ink ribbon cassette, and an ink ribbon extended along said first side wall so as to avert said ink ribbon from said pair of through holes.
- 2. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 1, further comprising guide members for guiding said ink ribbon such that said ink ribbon runs through regions between said first side wall and said pair of through holes.
- 3. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 1, wherein each of said pair of through holes has a substantially rectangular form.
- 4. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 1, wherein said casing has a substantially rectangular form with said pair of through holes disposed in the vicinity of two corners of said casing adjacent to said first side wall.
- 5. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 1, wherein said recessed portion in the first side wall is formed along the path of feed of said ink ribbon feed from a supply end to a take-up end.
- 6. An ink ribbon cassette detachable to a body of a recording apparatus, said cassette comprising;
- a housing member having a first member, a second member provided opposite to said first member and a side plate provided between said first and second members;
- a first and a second winding member provided in said housing member capable of winding said ink ribbon;
- an ink ribbon provided so as to be exposed outside of said housing member at a part of a route from said first winding member to said second winding member;
- an engaging section provided on a side edge opposed to a portion where said ink ribbon is exposed;
- a first opening provided on said first member; and
- a second opening provided on said second member opposite to and aligned with said first opening.
- 7. An ink ribbon cassette detachable to a body of a recording apparatus, said cassette comprising;
- a cassette body;
- an ink ribbon provided on said cassette body;
- a first and second winding members capable of winding said ink ribbon;
- an engaging section provided on said cassette body; and
- a penetrating hole provided on said cassette body.
- 8. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 6, wherein said engaging section is locked by locking means provided on said recording apparatus so as to mount said cassette to said recording apparatus.
- 9. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 6, wherein said first and second openings are penetrated by a positioning member provided on said recording apparatus to position said cassette when said cassette is mounted on said recording apparatus.
- 10. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 7, wherein said engaging section is locked by locking means provided on said recording apparatus so as to mount said cassette to said recording apparatus.
- 11. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 7, wherein said penetrating hole is penetrated by a positioning member provided on said recording apparatus to position said cassette when said cassette is mounted on said recording apparatus.
- 12. An ink ribbon cassette according to claim 7, wherein said penetrating hole is provided on left and right sides of said cassette body.
