Claims
- 1. A tetraorganotin compound exhibiting a formula selected from the group consisting of ##STR13## wherein R.sup.1 is selected from the group consisting of --CO.sub.2.sup..crclbar. Y.sup..sym. and --CO.sub.2 R.sup.4, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, --CO.sub.2 H, --CO.sub.2.sup..crclbar. Y.sup..sym., --CO.sub.2 R.sup.4, with the proviso that R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 cannot both be hydrogen; R.sup.4 is alkyl having from 1 to 12 carbon atoms; and Y.sup..sym. is a cation selected from the group consisting of alkali metals and ammonium.
- 2. A compound according to claim 1 of the formula ##STR14##
- 3. A compound according to claim 1 wherein Y.sup..sym. is an alkali metal.
