The disclosure relates to insole cover and more particularly pertains to a new insole cover for covering an insole removably positioned within a shoe.
The prior art relates to liners or covers configured to partially cover an insole of a shoe. The prior art includes liners configured to cover a single surface or a portion of the insole. For example, some prior art discloses pads that can adhere to the top surface of the insole or modified socks that cover only the toe-receiving portion of the insole. Thus, there is a need in the prior art for an insole covering system that covers and protects the entire insole of the shoe.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an insole covering system including a shoe having an insole removably positioned within the shoe and a sleeve configured to receive the insole such that the insole is covered by the sleeve. The sleeve generally has a tubular structure with a top side opposite a bottom side and an exterior surface. The sleeve has an opening therein extending inwardly into the exterior surface from the bottom side, the opening providing access to an interior pocket of the sleeve, the interior pocket being configured to receive the insole of the user's shoe.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The sleeve 20 generally comprises a tubular structure 22 having a top side 24 opposite a bottom side 26 and an exterior surface 28. In exemplary embodiments, the sleeve 20 may be formed of a cloth material comprising a natural fiber, a synthetic fiber, or combinations thereof. For example, the fiber combination of the cloth material may comprise a blend configured to achieve breathability and moisture-wicking, improving the comfort, freshness, and longevity of the shoe 12.
In some embodiments, the cloth material may also be infused with copper. A copper infusion could help improve a user's blood flow, reduce arthritic pain and muscle fatigue, and add antimicrobial properties to the sleeve 20. Alternative embodiments may infuse the cloth material with other additives configured to provide similar health and comfort benefits.
In some embodiments, the cloth material may be configured to add thickness to the insole 14, for example through strategic placement of a plurality of cushioning elements strategically positioned throughout the tubular structure 22. These cushioning elements may improve the comfort of the shoe 12. The added thickness may also act as a half-size filler for the shoe 12, improving the fit of the shoe 12 for the user.
As shown in
In embodiments, a decorative pattern or design (not pictured) may also be applied to the exterior surface 28. For example, embodiments may be manufactured in an array of colors or patterns using techniques such as dyeing, printing, embroidery, or combinations thereof. The decorative pattern or design could represent a multitude of interests or hobbies or could simply make the sleeve 20 more aesthetically pleasing.
In use, the insole 14 may be removed from the shoe 12 and inserted into the sleeve 20. As shown in
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
