Claims
- 1. An instant camera of a type causing light of a subject passed through a photographing lens to be reflected by a reflecting member so as to expose a film to light of the subject, said instant camera comprising:
- a data imprinting optical system, at least a portion of which is disposed in a space adjacent to and outside of an an outer perimeter of said reflecting member and which lies within a space defined by an outer perimeter of a rectangular shaped film cartridge, said data imprinting optical system being disposed in such a manner that an optical axis of said data imprinting optical system is transverse to the exposure surface of the film when the camera is in a photographing position.
- 2. An instant camera according to claim 1, wherein an electric circuit board required to imprint data and/or a battery is disposed at a position adjacent to a surface of said reflecting member that opposes a surface of said reflecting member for reflecting light of the subject.
- 3. An instant camera according to claim 1, wherein said data imprinting optical system has at least a light emitting device, a lens and a lens frame for supporting said light emitting device and said lens.
- 4. An instant camera according to any of claim 1 or 2, wherein a support member for supporting said reflecting member and said lens frame are integrally molded.
- 5. An instant camera according to claim 2 wherein an optical system includes a photographing lens, a shutter mechanism and a reflecting member for reflecting light of a subject arranged in such a manner that said optical system can be folded, said photographing lens and said shutter mechanism forming an integrated shutter unit; and
- a connection portion for providing a movable connection between said reflecting member for reflecting light of the subject and a support member.
- 6. An instant camera according to claim 1, further comprising:
- a film leading portion detection unit for detecting a leading portion of a photographed sheet film;
- film feeding means for feeding the photographed sheet film; film movement quantity detection means which is operated in response to operation of said film feeding means to generate and transmit a signal corresponding to a film movement quantity; and
- information imprinting means for imprinting, at the time of feeding the photographed sheet film, predetermined information onto a surface of the film by at least one operation in response to the signal transmitted by said film movement quantity detection means.
- 7. An instant camera according to claim 6, wherein said leading portion detection means for detecting the leading portion of the photographed sheet film comprises light detection means formed of light emitting means for emitting light which is outside of a photosensitive region for the sheet film and light receiving means for receiving transmitted light or reflected light of said emitted light.
- 8. An instant camera according to claim 6, wherein said film feeding means is formed of a pair of rollers for nipping the sheet film, each axis of rotation of said rollers being aligned with a vertical direction when the camera is oriented to perform a normal photographing operation.
- 9. An instant camera according to claim 8, where an exposure surface of the sheet film is aligned in a vertical direction and a plane of said sheet film extends in a direction parallel to and lying to one side of an optical axis of a taking lens of the camera when the camera is oriented to perform a normal photographing operation.
- 10. An instant camera according to claim 8, wherein said pair of rollers disperse a developer over an exposure surface of the film.
- 11. An instant camera according to claim 6, where the sheet film is an instant film and an operation of said information imprinting means is performed prior to a development operation of the instant film.
- 12. An instant camera according to claim 6, wherein said film feeding means nips the sheet film and disperses a developer over an exposure surface of the film and which is formed of a pair of rollers for discharging the film out from said camera.
- 13. An instant camera according to claim 6, wherein said information imprinting means imprints predetermined information onto a surface of the film by a plurality of divided operations.
- 14. An instant camera according to claim 1 wherein said reflecting member is movable between a collapsed position substantially parallel to said film surface and a photographing position aligned diagonally relative to said film surface;
- said data imprinting optical system being moved together with said reflecting member.
- 15. An instant camera according to claim 14 wherein the reflecting member and the data imprinting optical system are mounted upon a common movable support.
- 16. An instant camera according to claim 1 wherein said optical axis of said data imprinting optical system is perpendicular to said film exposure surface.
- 17. An instant camera according to claim 14 wherein the optical axis of the data imprinting optical system is perpendicular to the film exposure surface when the reflecting member is in the photographing position and is diagonally aligned relative to the film exposure surface when the reflecting member is in the collapsed position.
- 18. An instant camera according to claim 1 wherein said reflecting member has a perimeter which has a truncated triangular shape having two opposite parallel sides and two remaining sides which are diagonally aligned relative to said parallel sides, said data imprinting optical system being adjacent to one of said diagonally aligned sides.
