The present invention relates to the cosmetic field, in particular to a device for drawing eyebrows.
For reasons of aesthetic appearance, many people pay special attention to the shape of their eyebrows.
A well-designed eyebrow not only enhances the appearance, but contributes to the overall harmony of the face.
Above all, women feel the need to design their eyebrows and therefore co use different means available in the cosmetic and aesthetic arts.
The problem of drawing eyebrows in particularly is known by those who suffer from hair thinning, either due to natural causes or external causes, for example certain therapies that cause thinning or complete loss of the eyebrow arch.
Various devices for the design of the eyebrow arch are known, but none so far has been able to permit precise drawing that is as close as possible to the natural appearance of the eyebrows.
To date, the tattoo is the only known means to obtain satisfactory results. The problems that result from this type of application are well known, especially the hygienic concerns and concerns about the skill of the tattoo artist. Moreover, the tattoo is permanent and does not allow for the removal of the arch drawing except with invasive interventions.
Therefore, the problem exists of obtaining a device for drawing eyebrows that allows for high precision tracing of the hair that make up the eyebrow arch, which gives an effect as close to the natural eyebrow as possible and wherein the design can be removed easily.
The present invention solves the problems of the prior art by using a device for drawing the eyebrows, as defined in the claims and described in detail below.
The device according to the present invention comprises a brush for drawing the eyebrow, characterized by a configuration of the brush bristles to allow high precision in the drawing and to obtain a final effect that is very close to the natural appearance of the eyebrow.
According to the present invention, the device for drawing eyebrows (1) comprises a body (2) having at one of its ends an application element (3) that has a plurality of tips (4) provided in a single row along the longitudinal axis of the device, each tip preferably having a substantially conical shape, the base of which is connected to the application element (3) and the application element (3) is connected to the body (2), which is hollow inside, inside the body (2), and in contact with the application element (3) a cosmetic product (5), is placed which is suitable for drawing on the skin.
In one embodiment, a mechanism (6) is placed inside the distal part of the body (1), which pushes the cosmetic product up (5) through the application element (3), which is configured so as to supply the tips (4) with the cosmetic product.
In one embodiment, the tips (4) are made of elastomeric material.
In one embodiment, there are two or three tips (4).
In one embodiment, a comb (8) is placed integrally on the body (2).
In one embodiment, further tips (9) are placed on the front end of said application element (3).
In one embodiment, there are two of said tips (9).
In one embodiment, inside the body (2) is housed a device (10) which has at its opposite ends a brush (11) and a sponge (12).
In one embodiment, the base of the tip (4) has a diameter of between 0.4 and 1.0 mm, the height is between 0.5 and 0.7 cm and the set of tips extends along the longitudinal axis of the application element (3) with a length of between 0.3 and 1 cm.
Advantageously, the drawing of the eyebrow achieved with the device of the invention can be removed with the normal makeup remover.
The present invention will now also be described in detail using drawings.
The device according to the present invention comprises a series of tips, which together form a brush. The tips have a substantially conical shape with the tip facing towards the outside and are supplied by a suitable cosmetic product intended to carry out eyebrow drawings.
In its essential form, the device is as described in an exemplary embodiment in
The device (1) comprises a body (2) which extends longitudinally and has substantially the shape of a pen or other writing or drawing device. The shape and size of the body (2) is such that it performs the function of a typical make-up device, in particular to touch up the eyebrows.
At the proximal end, understood to be the end used for drawing of the eyebrow, therefore close to the face of the person to be treated, an application element (3) is placed that has a plurality of tips (4) (here also called bristles) provided in a single row along the longitudinal axis of the device and which perform the function of the eyebrow drawing applicator.
The device may be provided with a covering (not shown in the figures) for covering the entirety of the application element (3) and of the tips (4). The cover element (cap) has the function of protecting the tips, preserving the cosmetic product distributed on them and preventing the device from getting dirty when not in use.
The application element (3) is connected to the body (2) that is hollow inside. Inside the body (2), in contact with the application element (3) is placed a cosmetic product (5), suitable for drawing on the skin. Inside the distal part of the body (1) a mechanism (6) is placed that pushes up the cosmetic product (5) through the application element (3), which is configured to supply the tips (4) with the cosmetic product.
The tips (4) are made of an elastomeric material of a type known in the field, for example, such as that used in eyeliner applicators. The elastomeric material is selected so as to give the tips a degree of flexibility suitable for the intended application according to the present invention. The tip will be flexible in such a way as to be able to execute the eyebrow drawing with sufficient precision and comfort both for the beautician who performs the drawing on the person being treated, and for the person who performs the application independently. As an example, a degree of flexibility similar to eyeliner is adequate, even if it is possible to adopt greater or lesser degrees of flexibility depending on the application (more or less precise drawing also depending on the denseness of the eyebrow) and the cosmetic product used (more or less viscous). An example of a material used to make the tips (4) is described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,568,214.
The tip (4) has a substantially conical shape, whose base is connected to the application element (3) and the tip placed at the distal part, i.e. the part that draws on the skin. Advantageously, the distal end of the tip may be hemispherical or oval in shape; or flat, more or less orthogonal to the vertical axis of the tip. The distal end can also have the maximum taper possible, achievable with normal manufacturing methods. Other embodiments of the tips are possible, for example with a substantially cylindrical shape tapered outwards. The slant of the tips (4) relative to the application element (3) is not critical. Typically the tips can be orthogonal relative to the longitudinal axis of the application element (3), or they can be slanted towards either the distal or the proximal part of the device.
At the distal end of the device (1), intended as the opposite end to that which holds the application element (3) with the tips (4), an element (7) for closing the body (2) is placed.
The size of the tips is selected by persons skilled in the art such that these are configured as a brush. For example, the base of the Up can have a diameter between 0.4 and 1.0 mm and the height between 0.5 and 0.7 cm. The set of tips extends along the longitudinal axis of the application element (3) with a length between 0.3 and 1 cm. The mutual spacing of the tips is advantageously selected to make a brush suitable for drawing an eyebrow arch to replicate the natural density of the hairs. For example, in the case of tips with a diameter of the base of 1.0 mm and with the bases in contact, the distance between the distal ends is 1.0 mm. Alternatively, the tips can be appropriately spaced or put close together.
In an embodiment of the invention, there are two tips (4), placed along the longitudinal axis of the body (2) (see
In another embodiment of the invention, there are three tips (4), placed along the longitudinal axis of the body (2) (see
In another exemplary embodiment of the invention, the set of the application element (3) and the Ups (4) can be equipped with a suitable mechanism of a known type suitable for returning the tips back into the application element following use of the device. In this way, better protection from accidental damage of the tips is ensured.
In another exemplary embodiment of the invention, illustrated in
In an embodiment of the invention, the comb can be constructed so that it can be retracted inside the body of the device, as is shown for example in FR2894793.
In another embodiment of the invention, illustrated in an exemplary manner in
As mentioned above, and referring again to
Supplying of the tips (4) with the cosmetic product is performed by the application element (3), which, as stated, is made of a suitable material permeable to the cosmetic product, as described for example in the aforementioned U.S. Pat. No. 4,568,214.
Optionally, the application element (3) may contain inside a channel, provided in the body of the application element (3) or as a cannula inserted into said element (3) which puts the portion of the body (2) containing the cosmetic product into connection with the application element (3) itself. Said channel or cannula extends into the cosmetic product (3), for a part sufficient to ensure suction-lifting of the cosmetic product, and as far as the inside of the application element, for a part sufficient to supply the tips, as illustrated for example in U.S. Pat. No. 4,568,214.
Supplying of the application element (3) with the cosmetic product (5) can be carried out by any known method. For example, in the case of the application element (3) made of porous elastomeric material, such as for example in U.S. Pat. No. 4,568,214, the cosmetic product migrates by progressive impregnation of the application element (3) and therefore of the tips (4); or in the case of the above-described cannula, by capillarity.
Advantageously the implement can be equipped with a device (6), as mentioned above, which exerts constant pressure on the cosmetic product, thus ensuring a constant and controlled flow to the tips. The device (6) can have different mechanisms of known types, for example a piston driven by a suitably calibrated spring.
In one embodiment of the invention, the device can be of the disposable type, that is, once the cosmetic product is gone, the device is replaced with a new one, hi this case, the device is constructed with the body (2) in a single piece, where the applicators (2) and (3) are integrated.
In another embodiment of the invention, the application element (3) can be detached and replaced with a new one. In this case, the device (1) retains all of its elements, except the application element (3), which can be replaced with a new application element, if there is wear on the tips, or if the application element itself needs to be cleaned; or it can be replaced with another application element with Ups with different shapes and/or sizes.
In another embodiment of the invention, the cosmetic product (5) is contained in a reservoir, which is housed in the hollow body (2) and is put into communication with the application element (3). The reservoir and the means for putting it into communication with the application element can be assimilated to a fountain pen cartridge. Advantageously, this embodiment of the present invention allows the fundamental elements of the device to be retained, i.e. the body (2), and the application element (3) holding the tips (4), and optionally (9), allowing easy exchanging of the cosmetic product, once it has been used up, or replacement of the cosmetic product, for example with a different shade to match the color of eyebrows with the hair and/or the complexion of the person, or for any other requirement. In this embodiment of the invention, the body (2) can be separated into two sections: the proximal section holding the application element (3) and the distal section that constitutes the remaining part of the device, and inside the hollow body (2) the reservoir (14) is placed, produced as an exchangeable cartridge, containing the cosmetic product (5), and said reservoir is in communication with the application element (3), by means of a suitable connector (15). Separation of the body (2) can be achieved in a completely conventional way. For example, the two parts of the body (2), the lower part (2a) and the upper part (2b), can be joined by means of simple embedding, for example by making an end with a portion with a slightly smaller diameter which is inserted into the other free end; or with a threaded system (13), again using a fountain pen as an example (see an example of the embodiment in Fla 5), or with a double embedding system.
The cosmetic product (5) is of a known type for drawing the eyebrow arch, for example as described in the aforementioned U.S. Pat. No. 4,568,214 and US2016135569.
In an embodiment of the invention (shown in an exemplary embodiment in
The element (7) can also be configured such that the saturated sponge (12) can be extracted with a mechanism similar to that adopted with a lipstick stick.
The following example further illustrates the invention.
In the left part of the Figure we see an eye (A) whose eyebrow arch is experiencing hair thinning.
Using the device of the present invention, the eyebrow arch is perfectly drawn (right part of FIG. B) with natural fullness effects.
The device according to the present invention is used in the cosmetic industry.
