Claims
- 1. A method of providing services in a communications system, the communications system comprising at least one service processor to direct at least one resource complex to provide services in the communication system, the method facilitating the testing of service function and comprising the steps of:
implementing a live service logic execution environment within said service processor; implementing a test service logic execution environment capable of executing coded instructions in substantially the same manner as the live processing logic execution environment; testing at least one service-related functional object within the test service logic execution environment; and providing the tested service-related functional object to be executed within the live service logic execution environment.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein said test service logic execution is not coupled to the resource complex.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein said test service logic execution environment comprises interfaces which emulate the runtime environment of the live service logic execution environment.
- 4. The method of claim 1 wherein said test service logic execution environment comprises interfaces which emulate the interfaces to the resource complex as would be manifest in the live service logic execution environment.
