Claims
- 1. A system for interacting with plural displays comprising:
a first display put at hand; a second display at a distance; an input device for specifying a point on the first display or the second display; and pointer displaying means for displaying a pointer either on the first display or the second display at the specified point, wherein
said pointer displaying means moves the pointer according to the input device between the first display and the second display, or between the second display and the first display, seamlessly as if a top portion of the first display seamlessly joins a bottom portion of the second display; the second display is larger than the first display; the first display has a number of pixels h in a horizontal direction, and the second display has a number of pixels H in the horizontal direction, with h being less than H; and wherein a horizontal position x of the pointer on the first display, the number of pixels h in the horizontal direction of the first display and the number of pixels H in the horizontal direction of the second display are used to determine a horizontal position X of the pointer when moving to the second display according to x:h=X:H.
- 2. A method comprising:
specifying a point with an input device on a first display or a second display, the first display being at hand and the second display being at a distance; displaying a pointer either on the first display or the second display at the specified point; and moving the pointer according to the input device between the first display and the second display, or between the second display and the first display, seamlessly as if a top portion of the first display seamlessly joins a bottom portion of the second display; wherein
the point is specified with a mouse; the second display is larger than the first display; and said method further comprising: determining a horizontal position X of the pointer when moving from the first display to the second display based on a horizontal position x of the pointer on the first display, a number of pixels h in the horizontal direction of the first display and a number of pixels H in the horizontal direction of the second display wherein x:h substantially equals X:H.
