Claims
- 1. An interactive light-emitting diode display, comprising a plurality of individual light-emitting diode units, each light-emitting diode unit comprising:
at least one light-emitting diode die; an individual driving circuit operative to drive the light-emitting diode die; a micro-controller unit operative to generate a driving signal to the driving circuit and to generate an activation signal; and a transceiver operative to transmit the activation signal to activate another light-emitting diode unit, and to receive an external activation signal.
- 2. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 1, wherein the light-emitting diode die further comprises at least a red light-emitting diode, a green light-emitting diode, and a blue light-emitting diode.
- 3. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 1, wherein the driving circuit is operative to drive the light-emitting diode die to display a pattern in response to the driving signal generated by the micro-controller unit.
- 4. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 1, wherein the transceiver is operative to receive and transmit the activation signal generated by the micro-controller unit in the form of an infrared signal.
- 5. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 4, wherein the transceiver is operative to receive and transmit the external activation signal in the form of an infrared signal.
- 6. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 1, wherein the transceiver is operative to receive and transmit the activation signal generated by the micro-controller unit in the form of a radio-frequency signal.
- 7. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 6, wherein the transceiver is operative to receive and transmit the external activation signal in the form of a radio-frequency signal.
- 8. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 1, wherein each of the light-emitting diode units further comprises a memory pre-storing a plurality of illumination patterns.
- 9. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 8, wherein the micro-controller unit is further operative to read an illumination pattern in response to the-external activation signal.
- 10. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 9, wherein the micro-controller unit is further operative to generate a driving signal in response to the illumination pattern.
- 11. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 1, further comprising a remote control for activating at least one of the light-emitting diode units.
- 12. An interactive display device, comprising:
a plurality of individual objects, each having an individual display unit disposed thereon; and a switching device operative to activate the display unit of at least one of the objects; the display unit of each object further comprising:
at least one light-emitting diode die; an individual driving circuit, operative to supply voltages to the light-emitting diode die; a micro-controller unit, operative to generate the driving signal upon activation by the switching device; and a transceiver, operative to generate an activation signal to activate the display unit of at least one of the other objects, and to receive an activation signal generated by the other objects.
- 13. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the display unit can be activated by the activation signal transmitted from the transceiver of the other objects.
- 14. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the objects comprise a plurality of toys.
- 15. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the objects comprise a plurality of ornaments.
- 16. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the objects comprise a plurality of flat panels.
- 17. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the objects comprise a plurality of curved panels.
- 18. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the objects comprise a plurality of substrates.
- 19. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the light-emitting die comprises at least a set of color light-emitting diodes.
- 20. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the light-emitting die comprises at least a set of red, green and blue light-emitting diodes.
- 21. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the switching device includes a built-in switch accessible to a user.
- 22. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the switching device includes a remote control.
- 23. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the micro-controller unit is further operative to generate the driving signal in response to the activation signal transmitted by other objects.
- 24. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the transceiver is operative to transmit and receive an infrared signal.
- 25. The interactive display device of claim 12 wherein the transceiver is operative to transmit and receive a radio frequency signal.
- 26. The interactive display device of claim 12 wherein the transceiver is operative to transmit and receive an audible sound.
- 27. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the transceiver is operative to transmit and receive an ultrasound.
- 28. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the objects are in different shapes.
- 29. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein each of the objects has a shape correlated to a predefined pattern to be displayed by the display unit thereof.
- 29. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein the objects have different sizes.
- 30. The interactive display device of claim 12, wherein a pattern to be displayed by the display unit of each object is programmable.
- 31. An interactive light-emitting diode unit, suitable for being used to display an illumination pattern independently and/or interactive with another interactive light-emitting diode unit, the light-emitting diode unit comprising:
at least one light-emitting diode die; an individual driving circuit operative to drive the light-emitting diode die; a micro-controller unit operative to generate a driving signal to the driving circuit and to generate an activation signal; and a transceiver operative to transmit the activation signal to activate another light-emitting diode unit, and to receive an external activation signal.
- 32. The interactive light-emitting diode display of claim 31, wherein the light-emitting diode die further comprises at least a red light-emitting diode, a green light-emitting diode, and a blue light-emitting diode.
- 33. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 31, wherein the driving circuit is operative to drive the light-emitting diode die to display a pattern in response to the driving signal generated by the micro-controller unit.
- 34. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 31, wherein the transceiver is operative to receive and transmit the activation signal generated by the micro-controller unit in the form of an infrared signal.
- 35. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 34, wherein the transceiver is operative to receive and transmit the external activation signal in the form of an infrared signal.
- 36. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 31, wherein the transceiver is operative to receive and transmit the activation signal generated by the micro-controller unit in the form of a radio-frequency signal.
- 37. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 36, wherein the transceiver is operative to receive and transmit the external activation signal in the form of a radio-frequency signal.
- 38. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 31, wherein each of the light-emitting diode units further comprises a memory pre-storing a plurality of illumination patterns.
- 39. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 38, wherein the micro-controller unit is further operative to read the illumination pattern in response to the external activation signal.
- 40. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 39, wherein the micro-controller unit is further operative to generate a driving signal in response to the illumination pattern.
- 41. The interactive light-emitting diode unit of claim 31, further comprising a remote control for activating the light-emitting diode unit.
