BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
This invention concerns the jewellery industry since it deals with rings with an innovative mechanism, which allow, with a simple pressure, to interchange the ornamental part so that it fixes itself in a safe way on the open shank, completing the ring in all its parts.
2. Description of the Prior Art
The previous mechanisms have a series of problems as reported in the U.S. Pat. No. 6,715,314 to which we fully and precisely associate: all the patents reported.
As for the mechanism estimated in the above-mentioned patent, it turns out to be complicated and lacking a necessary simplicity to be used by the final consumer; the use of the same one predicts a typical manual ability of those who work in the sector of jewellery, but who's not always present in the final user.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The system of interchangeable click ring for the entire creation of assembled rings.
The entire ring already assembled is composed by one fixed interchangeable part (shank) (FIG. 1) and an ornamental part, an interchangeable one, too.
The system is realized trough a mechanism that links an interchangeable element called male element (shank) opened in the overlooking part (FIG. 2) and with different sections (FIG. 3) with definite mechanical characteristics which can generate a countless number of releases and assemblages on one part of the mechanism inclusive of all the grooves called female (FIG. 4), and using the elastic proprieties both of the metal and connate to the shape and development of the shank.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION—FIGS. 1 THROUGH 6—PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
- A. The system of the jewel is composed as follows: A) a shank (FIG. 1) which surrounds the finger for four fifth with vertical sides, opened in the upper part with two elements of asymmetric V (FIG. 4/3) which constitute the male of the mechanism of assembly, which is able to bend and to go off inside of the grooves of the female mechanism contained in the ornamental part (FIG. 6/2), thanks to the chink. The shank (FIG. 1) presents a narrower section in the final part (that is in the span) and a larger one in the lower part of the shank, this, allows to exalt the elastic characteristics of the metal that always goes back to the initial position (FIG. 5). Another element which gives efficacy to the mechanism is given by the most internal side of the final V (FIG. 6/2) of the shank which ends under the female element in a special bigger seat bigger than the piece itself; this causes that the upper part of the final V of the shank is always in tension holding back in a steady way the female ornamental piece (FIG. 5). B) The interchangeable ornamental element of the ring as visual reference has inclined sides towards the interior in accordance with the same inclination of the V elements of the shank but with a wider distance between the sides compared to the opening of the shank, gives the possibility to the vertical shank of gliding along a suitable groove of gliding, positioning one of the two ends of the shank in the notch of arrival and making the other end glide along the side till the attainment of the corresponding opposite notch (FIG. 5). Obviously, the shank while gliding is in a state of tension till it reaches the crack notch going back to the rest position or better of reduced tension. The shank develops itself around an ideal circle interrupted in the upper part to create the mechanism and which reshapes itself again when the ornamental part fits in becoming the final part which reshapes the circle (FIG. 4). The shape and the different sections of the shank always make the shank tend to get back to the circular state even if the final sides of the opening are forced towards the exterior. The ornamental element (female) may have a double external track (optional) at the gliding canal to facilitate the assembly.
- B. The unique and innovative characteristic is the fact that the shank of the ring is not closed but has got an open part and this has never been used, with the wrong belief that an open ring couldn't be safe enough, actually, in the manufacture of the model of this patent, it follows that this model is extremely safe, as without forcing on one side of the ring it's not possible to remove the ornamental element. Moreover, such shape of the shank allows to completely hide the mechanism which therefore turns out to be invisible, as it perfectly reproduces the shape that the ring would have if the two elements of the composition were joined together in a unique body.
- C. The two pieces of the ring are completely separated one from the other and present in the joint placed at the end of the shank and in the external side of the ornamental element, two mirror shapes that assure the tightness and stability of the ring, once it is assembled.
- D. The inclination angle equal or similar between the sides of the mechanism of the shank and the sides with the crack (notch) of the female ornamental element allows the shank to glide along the side of the ornamental element in tension, that is, forcing the shank, till the achievement of the notch (crack) positioned in the lateral side of the female element, reaching which, the male element finding an emptied space goes off in the seat in a steady way.
- E. The element of the shank which fits in the notch or seat of the ornamental female element presents a parallel side to the side of the female element and it is just the side where happens the gliding (the above preceding point) and another side which is on the contrary perpendicular to the other one; this to prevent the coming out of the piece once it reaches the release crack.
- F. To allow the coming out of the ornamental female piece again for its replacement with another ornamental piece, it will be necessary to force the shank on one side as far as letting it coming out from the notch of seat in the female one.
- G. The shank has a larger section in the lower part, and so a greater resistance just in such a point to allow it in order to flex in the openings always going back to the circular position thanks to the greater traction of the lower part of the shank.
- H. The uniqueness of the patent is also given by the fact that we have a ring composed by two separate elements, one of which is fixed and another interchangeable of all the possible shapes, keeping identical the mechanism of assemblage, in which a part constitutes the three quarters of the circle and the ornamental element the last quarter. Thus, once assembled the eye will perceive only a unique circle without being able to see the mechanism.
ADVANTAGES
The advantages of our claim are: a) give a exchange of the elements easily usable by anyone b) having an absolutely invisible mechanism once composed the ring c) total absence of security mechanisms visible from outside d) absolute security of the item e) longevity of the ring being able to always fit in ornamental parts d) low costs of the rings that can get a completely different appearance by only replacing the ornamental part e) simplicity in the exchange of the ornamental elements which can be done in a few seconds f) possibility of selling the ornamental elements of the shanks in a separated way.
