Claims
- 1. A method of treating allergy, asthma, rhinitis, dermatitis, B-cell lymphomas, tumors, anti-bacterial, rhinovirus or respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) which comprises administering to a patient in need of said treatment a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the formula:
- 2. The method as set forth in claim 1 wherein the treating is allergy.
- 3. The method as set forth in claim 1 wherein the treating is asthma.
- 4. The method as set forth in claim 1 wherein the treating is rhinitis.
- 5. The method as set forth in claim 1 wherein the treating is dermatitis.
- 6. The method as set forth in claim 1 wherein the treating is rhinovirus or respiratory syncytial virus.
- 7. The method as set forth in claim 1 wherein the compound is having:

- 11. A method of treating allergy, asthma, rhinitis or dermatitis which comprises administering to a patient in need of said treatment a therapeutically effective amount of a compound capable of modulating T helper (Th) cells, Th1/Th2, which compound is of the formula:

- 13. The method as set forth in claim 11 wherein the treating is asthma.
- 14. The method as set forth in claim 11 wherein the treating is rhinitis.
- 15. The method as set forth in claim 11 wherein the treating is dermatitis.
- 16. The method as set forth in claim 11 wherein the treating is rhinovirus or respiratory syncytial virus.
- 17. The method as set forth in claim 11 wherein the compound is having:

A method of treating allergy, asthma, rhinitis or dermatitis which comprises administering to a patient in need of said treatment a therapeutically effective amount of a compound capable of inhibiting the transcription of interleukin-4 (IL-4) message, IL-4 release or IL-4 production, which compound is of the formula:

A pharmaceutical composition which comprises a compound as defined in claim 1, in an amount effective for treating allergy, asthma, rhinitis, dermatitis, B-cell lymphomas, tumors, anti-bacterial, rhinovirus or respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in combination with at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
