Claims
- 1. A compound of the formula
- L--CH=CHCOCR.sup.3 R.sup.4 --(CH.sub.2).sub.n CH.sub.3
- in which L is the radical ##STR12## wherein R.sup.5 is lower alkyl, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each are hydrogen or lower alkyl with the proviso that at least one of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is lower alkyl, and n is an integer from two to five.
- 2. Dimethyl and diethyl trans-2-(4,4-dimethyl-3-oxo-1-octenyl)cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylate, as claimed in claim 1.
- 3. Diethyl trans-2-(4-methyl-3-oxo-1-octenyl)cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylate, as claimed in claim 1.
- 4. Diethyl trans-2-(3-oxo-1-butenyl)cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylate.
- 5. A compound of the formula ##STR13## in which L is the radical ##STR14## wherein R.sup.5 is lower alkyl, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each are hydrogen or lower alkyl with the provisos that at least one of R.sup.2, R.sup.3 or R.sup.4 is hydrogen and at least one of R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is lower alkyl, R.sup.7 is hydrogen or a radical suitable for protecting a hydroxyl group selected from the class consisting of tetrahydropyran-2-yl, tetramethylsilyl, dimethylisopropylsilyl and tertiarybutyl, and n is an integer from two to five.
- 6. Diethyl trans-2-(3-hydroxy-4,4-dimethyl-1-octenyl)-cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylate, as claimed in claim 5.
- 7. Diethyl trans-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methyl-1-octenyl)-cyclopropane-1, 1-dicarboxylate, as claimed in claim 5.
- 8. Diethyl trans-2-(3-hydroxy-3-methyl-1-octenyl)-cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylate, as claimed in claim 5.
- 9. Diethyl trans-2-{3-[(tetrahydropyran-2-yl)oxy]-3-methyl-1-octenyl}cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylate, as claimed in claim 5.
- 10. Diethyl trans-2-{3-[(tetrahydropyran-2-yl)oxy]-4-methyl-1-octenyl}cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylate, as claimed in claim 5.
