Claims
- 1. An optically active antipode of the formula: ##STR42## wherein R.sub.1 is benzyl, tetrahydropyranyl or t-butyl or its optically active antipode, said antipode being free of its other optically active antipode.
- 2. The antipode of claim 1 wherein said antipode is (2S,.beta. R)-6-benzyloxy-2,5,7,8.beta.-pentamethylchroman-2-pentanol.
