Claims
- 1. An isocarbacyclin derivative represented by the following formula [VII'] ##STR264## wherein R.sup.4 represents (1) a hydrogen atom, (2) a methyl group of (3) a vinyl group; R.sup.5 represents (1) an unsubstituted linear or branched C.sub.3 -C.sub.8 alkyl group which may be interrupted by an oxygen atom, (2) a substituted linear or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl group in which the substituent is (a) a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkoxy group, (b) phenyl, (c) phenoxy or (d) C.sub.3 -C.sub.10 cycloalkyl group which is unsubstituted or is substituted by a halogen atom, a protected hydroxyl group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group (3) a phenyl group which is unsubstituted or is substituted by a halogen atom, a protected hydroxyl group of a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group (4) a phenoxy group which is unsubstituted or is substituted by a halogen atom, a protected hydroxyl group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group or (5) a C.sub.3 -C.sub.10 cycloalkyl group which is unsubstituted or is substituted by a halogen atom, a protected hydroxyl group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group n is 0 or 1; R.sup.e22 and R.sup.e32 are identical or different and each represents a hydrogen atom, a tri(C.sub.1 -C.sub.7)hydrocarbon-silyl group, a group forming an acetal linkage together with the oxygen atom or the hydroxyl or ##STR265## wherein R.sup.c11 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 hydrocarbon group; and A represents a group of the formula ##STR266## in which R.sup.b21, R.sup.b22 and R.sup.b23 are identical or different and each represents H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 hydrocarbon group; a group of the formula ##STR267## in which R.sup.a11 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and R.sup.a12 represents a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 hydrocarbon group or a group of the following formula [B-1] ##STR268## in which R.sup.b11 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R.sup.b12 represents a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 hydrocarbon group which may be substituted by --OH, --SH, a lower alkylthio group or an N atom-containing heterocyclic group, and R.sup.b13 represents a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl group,
- R.sup.a11 and R.sup.a12 may be bonded to each other to form a ring, and when n is 0 in formula [VII], R.sup.a11 and R.sup.a12 are not simultaneously groups
- selected from H and C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl groups or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 2. An isocarbacyclin derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof of claim 1 wherein n is1.
- 3. An isocarbacyclin derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof of claim 2 wherein A represents a group of the formula ##STR269## in which R.sup.b21 represents H, R.sup.b22 represents H or a lower alkyl group and R.sup.b23 represents H or a lower alkyl group.
- 4. An isocarbacyclin derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof of claim 2 wherein A represents a group of the formula ##STR270## in which R.sup.a11 represents H or a lower alkyl group and R.sup.a12 represents H, a lower alkyl group or a group of the formula ##STR271## wherein R.sup.b11 represents H, R.sup.b12 represents H, a lower alkyl or benzyl group and R.sup.b13 represents H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl group.
- 5. An isocarbacyclin derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof of claim 1 wherein n is 0.
- 6. An isocarbacyclin derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof of claim 5 wherein A represents a group of the formula ##STR272## in which R.sup.b21 represents H, R.sup.b22 represents H or a lower alkyl group and R.sup.b23 represents H or a lower alkyl group.
- 7. An isocarbacyclin derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof of claim 5 wherein A represents a group of the formula ##STR273## in which R.sup.a11 represents H or a lower alkyl group, and R.sup.a12 represents a group of the formula ##STR274## wherein R.sup.b11 represents H, R.sup.b12 represents H, a lower alkyl or benzyl group and R.sup.b13 represents H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl group.
- 8. A composition for reducing lipid in blood comprising an amount effective for reducing lipid in blood of a isocarbacyclin derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as defined in any one of claims 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 to 7 as an active ingredient and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier therefor.
- 9. A composition for treating a liver injury comprising an amount affective for treating liver injury of a isocarbacyclin derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as defined in any one of claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 to 7 as an active ingredient and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier therefor.
