Claims
- 1. A salicylate test strip comprising a porous solid dry support impregnated with salicylate hydroxylase and NADH.
- 2. The test strip of claim 1, buffered to pH 6.5-8.9.
- 3. The test strip of claim 2, buffered to pH 7.6.
- 4. The test strip of claim 1, wherein said salicylate hydroxylase is salicylate 1-monooxygenase EC 1.14.13.1.
- 5. The test strip of claim 1, wetted with a liquid selected from the group consisting of urine, blood plasma, blood serum, whole blood, saliva, gastric aspirate, tears and cerebrospinal fluid.
- 6. The test strip of claim 5, wetted with whole blood.
- 7. The test strip of claim 5, wetted with urine.
- 8. The test strip of claim 5, wetted with saliva.
- 9. The test strip of claim 5, wetted with gastric aspirate.
- 10. The test strip of claim 5, wetted with blood plasma or blood serum.
- 11. The test strip of claim 5, further comprising catechol.
- 12. The test strip of claim 1, wherein said salicylate hydroxylase is present as the limiting reagent.
- 13. A salicylate test strip comprising a porous solid dry support impregnated with salicylate hydroxylase and NADPH.
- 14. The test strip of claim 13, buffered to pH 6.5-8.9.
- 15. The test strip of claim 14, buffered to pH 7.6.
- 16. The test strip of claim 13, wherein said salicylate hydroxylase is salicylate 1 monooxygenase EC 1.14.13.1.
- 17. The test strip of claim 13, wetted with a liquid selected from the group consisting of urine, blood plasma, blood serum, whole blood, saliva, gastric aspirate, tears and cerebrospinal fluid.
- 18. The test strip of claim 17, wetted with whole blood.
- 19. The test strip of claim 17, wetted with urine.
- 20. The test strip of claim 17, wetted with saliva.
- 21. The test strip of claim 17, wetted with gastric aspirate.
- 22. The test strip of claim 17, wetted with blood plasma or blood serum.
- 23. The test strip of claim 17, further comprising catechol.
- 24. The test strip of claim 13, wherein said salicylate hydroxylase is present as the limiting reagent.
- 25. A salicylate test strip consisting essentially of a porous solid dry support buffered to pH 6.5-8.9 impregnated with salicylate hydroxylase and NADH or NADPH.
