Claims
- 1. An isomer mixture of a cycloolefin of the formula (I) ##STR33## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.14 are independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, R.sup.15 to R.sup.18 are independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, or R.sup.15 or R.sup.16 and R.sup.17 or R.sup.18 may be bonded to each other to form a monocyclic or polycyclic group, or R.sup.15 and R.sup.16 or R.sup.17 and R.sup.18 may together form an alkylidene group, n is 0 or 1, and m is 0 or a positive integer, provided that m and n cannot be simultaneously zero, which comprises, based on the cycloolefin having an endo form and the cycloolefin having an exo form in total, up to 80 mol % of the cycloolefin having and endo form and at least 20 mol % of the cycloolefin having an exo form.
- 2. An isomer mixture according to claim 1, wherein the cycloolefin has the formula (I-A) ##STR34## wherein R.sup.7 to R.sup.18 are as defined above.
- 3. An isomer mixture according to claim 1, wherein the cycloolefin has the formula (I-B) ##STR35## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.10 and R.sup.15 to R.sup.18 are as defined above.
- 4. The isomer mixture of anyone of claims 1, 2 or 3 which comprises from 5 to 70 mol % of the cycloolefin having an endoform and from 30 to 95 mol % of the cycloolefin having an exoform.
