Claims
- 1. A kit for preparing and dressing an intravenous catheter site comprising:
- a tray in the form of a blister pack having a recessed well to receive components of the kit and a sealing flange about the recessed well;
- a tourniquet in the well for use in aiding the location of a blood vessel for purposes of a medical procedure;
- a dressing including an adhesive member for use in connection with holding a medical device in a blood vessel,
- an antimicrobial treatment used to disinfect an area of skin before application of the medical device into the vessel;
- a cover for the tray including indicia about the source and nature of the components within the kit, and
- a glove pair formed of a thin, flexible resilient material placed juxtaposed to one another with a plurality of finger ends against one another, a pair of hand parts against one another and a pair of cuff portions against one another and the glove pair rolled up along the longitudinal elongate dimension thereof as a pair from the finger ends to the cuff portions to drive air entrapped within the gloves by the process of rolling and to present the cuffs of each glove at the periphery of the rolled generally cylindrical glove pair for ease in access to the inside of each glove during donning.
