- 5. An apparatus for applying a label to an object comprising:
a base; and at least one locating element extending from the base, the locating element for positioning a label assembly on the apparatus.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 5 further comprising:
a center stem; and a dome positioned beneath the center stem, the dome compressible following application of a downward force.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein the center stem accommodates a center hole of a CD.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 5 further comprising:
an arm positioned with respect to the base, the arm moveable between a position generally flush with the base and a position away from the base.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 8 further comprising a hinge connecting the arm to the base.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 8 wherein the arm includes an aperture, the at least one locating element extending into the aperture when the arm is in the position generally flush with the base.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 8 wherein the arm extends at least partially around a perimeter of the base.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 5 further comprising one or more finger apertures positioned through the base, the finger apertures for removing the object from the base following application of the label.
- 13. An apparatus for applying a label to a CD comprising:
a base; a center stem; at least one locating element extending from the base, the locating element for positioning a label assembly on the apparatus; and an arm positioned relative to the base, the arm moveable between a position generally flush with the base and a position away from the base.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 13 further comprising:
a compressible element positioned beneath the center stem, the compressible element compressible following application of a downward force.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 13 wherein the arm includes an aperture, the at least one locating element extending into the aperture when the arm is in the position generally flush with the base.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 13 wherein the arm extends along a lower portion of the base.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 13 wherein the center stem accomodates a center hole of a CD and the at least one locating element extends into the label assembly outside of the perimeter of the CD.
- 18. An apparatus for applying a label to a CD comprising:
a base; and a center stem extending from the base, the center stem including a compressible element that lowers the center stem as the CD is applied to the label.
- 19. The apparatus of claim 18 wherein the compressible element comprises an elastic dome.
- 20. The apparatus of claim 18 wherein the apparatus further comprises:
at least one locating element extending from the base, the locating element for positioning a label assembly on the apparatus; and an arm positioned relative to the base, the arm moveable between a position generally flush with the base and a position away from the base.
- 21. The apparatus of claim 20 wherein the arm is hinged to the base.
- 22. The apparatus of claim 18 further comprising one or more finger apertures positioned through the base, the finger apertures for removing the object from the base following application of the label.
