Claims
- 1. A wound lapping tape for forming a convex tip on an end of a workpiece, comprising:
- a thin base in a form of a webbing;
- abrasive grain affixed to a front of said base by a binder; and
- an abrasive liquid deposited in a layer on the front of said base to which said abrasive grain is affixed,
- wherein the lapping tape has said abrasive liquid deposited thereon before the lapping tape is wound.
- 2. A lapping tape as claimed in claim 1, wherein said lapping tape is wound in a form of a roll such that the front of said base closely contacts a rear of said base.
- 3. A lapping tape as claimed in claim 2, further comprising a pair of disk-like plates respectively closely contacting axially opposite ends of said roll.
- 4. A lapping tape as claimed in claim 2, further comprising adhesive applied to opposite edge portions of the front of said base with respective to a widthwise direction of said base over said abrasive liquid.
- 5. A lapping tape as claimed in claim 2, further comprising a film covering said abrasive liquid.
