Claims
- 1. A method for positioning an optical camera with respect to an X-ray source having a center of projection relative to an X-ray detector plane, where the optical camera views the detector plane by way of at least one mirror, transparent to X-ray energy, positioned between the X-ray source and the detector plane, comprising the steps of:directing a laser beam from a source positioned at the image center of the X-ray detector plane to the center of X-ray projection; and aligning the optical camera until the laser light returning to the source is coincident or nearly coincident with the laser beam issuing from the source.
- 2. A method for positioning as set forth in claim 1, further comprising the steps of:positioning at least four on-plane markers on the X-ray detector plane; acquiring X-ray and optical images of the on-plane markers; and warping one image onto the other with respect to the four on-plane markers.
