Claims
- 1. A latching bolt mechanism for selectively connecting adjoining concrete form panels along margins thereof and preventing parting movement thereof, said latching bolt mechanism comprising:
- a) a latching bolt having two axially separable portions including an engagement pin having a tapered tip for penetrating side rails of adjoining concrete form panels, said engagement pin having a medial stop for abutting a side rail and a second end reciprocally receivable in a bore of a pin sleeve;
- b) said pin sleeve having a lever arm extending therefrom for rotation and retraction of said pin sleeve relative to said engagement pin;
- c) a guide sleeve having a substantially closed end and a central bore reciprocally receiving said pin sleeve whereby said pin sleeve partially separates from said engagement pin, said guide sleeve having a spring therein biasing said pin sleeve to an outwardly extended position;
- d) a housing block reciprocally receiving said guide sleeve and associated with means for fixing to a form panel; and
- e) lubrication means in said guide sleeve and including means defining a reservoir located therein adjacent said substantially closed end whereby said pin sleeve at least partially retracts into said reservoir and forces lubricant around said pin sleeve.
- 2. A latching bolt mechanism for selectively connecting adjoining concrete form panels along margins thereof and preventing parting movement thereof, said latching bolt mechanism comprising:
- a) latching bolt means having a tapered tip for penetrating side rails of adjoining concrete form panels;
- b) a tubular guide sleeve having a substantially closed end and a central bore reciprocally receiving said latching bolt means;
- c) lubrication means in said guide sleeve and including a means defining a reservoir located therein adjacent said substantially closed end whereby said latching bolt means at least partially retracts into said guide sleeve and forces lubricant to said latching bolt means.
- 3. A latching bolt mechanism for selectively connecting adjoining concrete form panels along margins thereof and preventing parting movement thereof, said latching bolt mechanism comprising:
- a) latching bolt means having at least two axially separable portions including an engagement pin having a tip for penetrating side rails of adjoining concrete form panels and including a pin sleeve having a lever arm extending therefrom for rotation and retraction of said pin sleeve relative to said engagement pin, said engagement pin being reciprocally received in said pin sleeve;
- b) a guide sleeve having a substantially closed end and a central bore reciprocally receiving said pin sleeve; and
- c) lubrication means in said guide sleeve and including means defining a reservoir located therein adjacent said substantially closed end whereby said pin sleeve at least partially retracts into said reservoir and forces lubricant to said pin sleeve.
- 4. A latching bolt mechanism for selectively connecting adjoining concrete form panels along margins thereof and preventing parting movement thereof, said latching bolt mechanism comprising:
- a) latching means for connecting concrete form panels together and including a latching pin and a guide sleeve;
- b) mounting means for attaching said latching means to a form panel including:
- i) a mounting bracket fixed to a form panel;
- ii) said mounting bracket having a slide channel;
- iii) a latching means housing block being slidably received in said channel;
- iv) means for retaining said housing block in said mounting bracket; and
- c) lubrication means in said guide sleeve for applying lubricant to said latching pin.
