Claims
- 1. An active matrix liquid crystal display device comprising:first and second substrates; a liquid crystal layer disposed between said first and second substrates; plural image signal lines, counter-voltage signal lines and scan signal lines formed on the first substrate and each pixel region formed by adjacent image signal lines and adjacent scan signal lines having at least an active device; at least a pixel electrode connected to the active device in each pixel region; and at least a counter electrode provided in each pixel region, the pixel electrode and the counter electrode being provided on the first substrate; wherein adjacent ones of the counter-voltage signal lines which extend in a direction parallel to an extension direction of said scan signal lines are connected by the counter electrode via more than one thorough-hole formed in a protective film.
- 2. An active matrix liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the counter electrode is formed on the protective film.
- 3. An active matrix liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the thorough-hole is formed in each pixel.
- 4. An active matrix liquid crystal display device according to claim 3, wherein only one thorough-hole to connect the counter voltage signal line and the counter electrode is formed in each pixel.
- 5. An active matrix liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the counter voltage signal lines are arranged substantially parallel to the scan signal lines and the counter electrode connects adjacent counter voltage signal lines across the scan signal lines.
- 6. An active matrix liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the counter voltage signal line is formed of materials of one of Cr, Ta, Ti, Mo, W, Al, and an alloy thereof, or a clad structure with the materials laminated.
- 7. An active matrix liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the counter voltage signal line is formed of a clad structure made of one of Cr, Ta, Ti, Mo, W, Al, and an alloy thereof with a transparent conductive film of indium-to-oxide (ITO) or being laminated on the alloy.
- 8. An active matrix liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the counter electrode is formed of materials of one of Cr, Ta, Ti, Mo, W, Al, and an alloy thereof, or a clad structure with the materials laminated.
- 9. An active matrix liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the counter electrode is formed as a transparent conductive film of indium-to-oxide (ITO).
- 10. An active matrix liquid crystal display device comprising:first and second substrates; a liquid crystal layer disposed between said first and second substrates; plural image signal lines, counter-voltage signal lines and scan signal lines formed on the first substrate, each pixel region which is formed by adjacent image signal lines and adjacent scan signal lines have at least an active device; at least a pixel electrode is connected to the active device in each pixel region; and at least a counter electrode provided in each pixel region, and the pixel electrode and the counter electrode being provided on the first substrate; wherein a counter voltage is applied to the pixel regions with a net-mesh-like pattern across the adjacent image signal lines and the adjacent scan signal lines.
