This application claims the priority date benefit from Australian Innovation Patent application. No. 2013100680 filed on May 17, 2013.
1. Field of Invention
The present invention relates to a multipurpose, detachable laundry basket hanger which could also be utilized for hanging garments upright upon washing. The laundry basket hanger could easily attach or detach from the conventional laundry baskets.
2. Description of Prior Art
Upon washing clothes are hung on traditional clothes lines to dry. Many a times this causes creasing or wrinkles on the garments upon drying and further making it cumbersome to iron. Moreover, a person has to carry a laundry basket separately along with the conventional garment hangers when putting garments to dry on the traditional cloth lines. The present invention provides a detachable, multipurpose laundry basket hanger which not only serves the purpose of acting as a hanger for the laundry baskets but can also be utilized to be used as a garment hanger when detached from the laundry basket. Garments fitted onto the ‘Laundry Basket Hanger’ prevent wrinkles as opposed to if gathered in the laundry basket alone. There are many prior arts related to laundry garment hangers but none of them discloses a similar configuration, design and utility parameters as applicant's invention. U.S. Pat. No. 3,534,865A to Holliman (1970) discloses a garment support attachable and detachable from an end portion of an ironing board. The garment support is being adapted and arrange to suspend garment hangers thereby garments carried by hangers freely hang outwardly of the end of ironing board. On the contrary, applicant's invention intends to provide a multipurpose laundry basket hanger which upon detachment from the laundry basket or hamper can also act as a garment hanger.
GB415653A to Sieber (1934) discloses a portable device for holding wearing apparel when not in use, also U.S. Pat. No. 2,944,673A to Geluso (1960) discloses a hanger for ironing table. While applicant's invention is a torso shaped laundry basket hanger, made of 3 loops extending from the expandable ends which are meant to be attached to the laundry baskets, each loop is configured to hang a garment. Thus, the unique design of the laundry basket hanger can be utilized to attach a laundry basket or hamper as well as may act as a garment hanger for drying clothes upon washing, when detached from the laundry basket. The invention can easily detach from the laundry basket or hamper to clamp onto the ironing board or a chair, if needed. The present invention is therefore a substantial improvement over abovementioned prior arts.
The present invention comprises a multipurpose Laundry basket hanger that can be utilized to attach a laundry basket or hamper as well as hanging garments upon washing, when detached from the laundry basket or hamper. The elongated parts of laundry basket hanger further descend and taper inwardly to impart a torso shaped structure with raised centre to accommodate collars of shirts and tops.
It is an object of invention to provide a multipurpose Laundry basket hanger that can also fit most adult male, female shirts, jackets, blouses and tops. Even clothing items like trousers and leggings can be draped over the Laundry basket hanger conveniently.
It is further an object of present invention to provide a Laundry basket hanger that can easily fit or secure a grip to all kinds of conventional laundry baskets or hampers.
It is yet another object of invention to provide a Laundry basket hanger which is a torso shaped hanger made of 3 loops extending from the expandable ends, each loop is configured to hang a garment.
