- 3. A dye preparation according to claim 1, containing 35 to 97 weight % of said glass frit, 3 to 30 weight % of at least one inorganic ceramic dye pigment and 0 to 35 weight % of at least one other lead-free glass frit.
- 4. A dye paste which comprises a dye preparation according to claim 1 suspended in a fluid medium in an amount effective to achieve an acceptable consistency for spraying, pouring, or screen-printing.
- 5. In a process for the production of a glass-enamel or ceramic decoration on a bakeable substrate, which comprises applying a layer of an enamel-forming composition onto the substrate and baking the thus coated substrate at a temperature adjusted to the substrate, the improvement wherein the enamel-forming composition is a dye preparation as defined in claim 1.
- 6. In a process for the production of a glass-enamel or ceramic decoration on a baketable substrate, which comprises applying a layer of an enamel-forming composition onto the substrate and baking the thus coated substrate at a temperature adjusted to the substrate, the improvement wherein the enamel-forming composition is a dye paste as defined in claim 4.
- 7. A baked substrate having a glass-enamel or ceramic decoration layer thereon produced in accordance with the process of claim 5.
- 8. A baked substrate having a glass-enamel or ceramic decoration layer thereon produced in accordance with the process of claim 6.
- 9. A product according to claim 7 which is a glass-enamel layered architectural or instrument glass.
- 10. A product according to claim 8 which is a glass-enamel layered architectural or instrument glass.
- 11. In a process for the production of a glass frit which comprises subjecting the raw materials for glass in amounts corresponding to the desired molar composition of the glass to melting at 1000.degree. to 1200.degree. C., quenching the melt to obtain a friable material and grinding the friable material, the improvement wherein the glass composition contains, in mole % the following essential components:
- ______________________________________ Na.sub.2 O 10-15 K.sub.2 O 0.1-2 Li.sub.2 O less than 0.5 SiO.sub.2 40-50 B.sub.2 O.sub.3 8-12 TiO.sub.2 4-7 Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 0.1-3 ZnO 13-17 F 1-5______________________________________
- and the raw materials which are subjected to melting contain the fluorine-containing raw materials in multiple excess compared to the fluorine content in the glass composition.
