Claims
- 1. A method of providing a lifeline connection between a gateway and a node connected to a network, comprising the steps of:detecting a failure of a wired connection between said gateway and said network; establishing a wireless connection between said gateway and said node connected to said network, said wireless connection including a first transceiver and a second transceiver, wherein said establishing step comprises the steps of: establishing a first wireless connection between said first transceiver at said gateway and a third transceiver at a tap; and establishing a second wireless connection between said third transceiver at said tap and said second transceiver at said node.
