Abstract
A liftable golf club head cover comprises a main body and a holding device. The main body comprises a bottom wall, a peripheral wall surrounding and extending outwardly from the bottom wall, a top wall surrounding the peripheral wall, and an open-type holding chamber defined by the bottom wall, the peripheral wall and the top wall. The top wall has an opening and a liftable lid disposed thereon. One end of the liftable lid is fixed on one end of the top wall. The holding device is coupled to one end of the main body so as to provide the advantages of holding the golf club in the golf club head cover easily and seeing the patterns and characters on the golf club head distinctly.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a liftable golf club head cover, and more particularly to a liftable golf club head cover that has a liftable lid and an opening for easy insertion of the golf club into the golf club head cover and distinctly seeing the patterns and characters on the golf club head.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The golf club head covers most commonly seen on the market are integrally made of a flexible, elastic material, and their golf club head covers have respective openings on respective one ends for insertion thereinto of respective club heads. Therefore, the outsides of the club heads can be covered with the golf club head covers to achieve the purpose of protecting the club heads.

However, during its practical use, the foregoing golf club head cover has the following drawbacks: (1) The opening of the golf club head cover is so small that the user must spend a certain force to attach or detach the golf club head cover from the club head that has a certain size, causing the inconvenience in use and resulting in the probable club head damage if it is fallen down due to unstable holding by the user. (2) The user is likely to take the wrong golf club since the user cannot see the mark, the pattern and the name on the club head directly if the club head is covered by the golf club head cover, causing the inconvenience in use.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, a major object of the present invention is to provide a golf club head cover that allows the golf club to be inserted into the golf club head cover easily and allows the patterns and characters on the golf club head to be observed distinctly.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned and other objects, the present invention discloses a liftable golf club head cover comprising a main body and a holding device.

The main body comprises a bottom wall, a peripheral wall surrounding and extending outwardly from the bottom wall, a top wall surrounding the peripheral wall, and an open-type holding chamber defined by the bottom wall, the peripheral wall and the top wall. The top wall has an opening and a liftable lid formed thereon. One end of the liftable lid is fixed on one end of the top wall.

The holding device is mounted on the main body. The holding device has a supporting portion, a gap portion gradually narrowed down from the supporting portion toward its center, and a holding chamber defined jointly by the supporting portion and the gap portion.

According to such a structure, the conventional drawbacks can be improved so as to provide the advantages of holding the golf club in the golf club head cover easily and seeing the patterns and characters on the golf club head distinctly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a liftable golf club head cover in accordance with a first preferred embodiment of the present invention is shown. The golf club head cover 10 comprises a main body 1 and a holding device 2 disposed on one end of the main body 1.

The foregoing main body 1 comprises a bottom wall 11, a peripheral wall 12 surrounding and extending outwardly from the bottom wall 11, a top wall 13 surrounding the peripheral wall 12, and an open-type holding chamber 14 defined by the bottom wall 11, the peripheral wall 12 and the top wall 13, wherein the top wall 13 has formed thereon an opening 131 extending to a neck on one end of the main body 1 and a liftable lid 132 located in a position corresponding to the opening 131. In addition, two magnetic bars 133, 134 (shown in FIG. 5) are located on the edges of the opening 131 and the liftable lid 132, respectively. The magnetic bars 133, 134 are magnetically attractable to each other. In addition, one end of the liftable lid 132 is fixed on one end of the top wall 13, and a hand-grasp part 135 is disposed on the other end of the liftable lid 132. Furthermore, the main body 1 can be made of a foam material, a polyethylene (PE) air bubble film, an ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA) plastic material, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or a thermoplastic rubber (TBR), or any combination thereof. In addition, the main body 1 can be also made of a plastic material with elasticity and flexibility such as PU, CTC, and so forth to achieve the purpose of protecting a golf club 30, as shown in FIG. 3. Besides, the main body 1 has an integrally formed structure or an assembled structure.

Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 6, the holding device 2 is made of an elastic material such as a metal or a plastic material. In addition, the holding device 2 is mounted on one end of the main body 1. The holding device 2 has a supporting portion 21, a gap portion 22 gradually narrowed down from the supporting portion 21 toward its center, and a holding chamber 23 defined jointly by the supporting portion 21 and the gap portion 22. The gap portion 22 is designed for detachably holding a club body 31 of the golf club 30 (shown in FIG. 4) so that the club body 31 can be disposed on the supporting portion 21 and held in the holding chamber 23.

Referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, for the purpose of using the liftable golf club head cover in accordance with the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, the liftable lid 132 is lifted upwardly and the golf club 30 is inserted into the holding chamber 14 via the opening 131 of the main body 1. Thereafter, the club head 32 is rotated in the forward direction, and then the club body 31 of the golf club 30 is pressed into the holding device 2. Thereafter, the liftable lid 132 is lowered down to allow the magnetic bars 133, 134 to magnetically attract each other, thereby achieving the fixing purpose.

On the contrary, in case of a desire to detach the golf club head cover 10 from the golf club 30, the liftable lid 132 needs to be lifted upwardly and the holding device 2 needs to be expanded outwardly so that the club body 31 can be separated from the holding device 2 and that the golf club head cover 10 can be outwardly detached therefrom. As a result, the user is enabled to see the club head 32 by hand grasping the hand-grasp part 135 and thereafter lifting the liftable lid 132 upwardly. Therefore, it is very easy to attach the golf club 30 to the golf club head cover 10 or detach the golf club head cover 10 from the golf club 30.

Referring to FIG. 7, a liftable golf club head cover in accordance with a second preferred embodiment of the present invention is substantially constructed in the same manner as the first preferred embodiment. The difference consists in that the holding device 2 can be made of a foam material, a polyethylene (PE) air bubble film, an ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA) plastic material, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or a thermoplastic rubber (TBR), or any combination thereof. In addition, the holding device 2 can be also made of a plastic material such as PU, CTC, and so forth. In addition, the holding device 2 has mounted therein an elastic device 24 with a shape conformal to the holding device 2. The second preferred embodiment is used in the same manner as the first preferred embodiment.
