Claims
- 1. A light-polarizing film exhibiting a neutral gray produced by absorbing in and orienting at least one coloring matter selected from the group consisting of (1) (A) and (B), (2) (A) and (C), and (3) (A) and (B) and (C), as a dichroic coloring matter in a polymer film; wherein
- (A) is iodine,
- (B) is a dichroic dye having absorption characteristics and polarization characteristics in the wavelength region of 400.about.500 nm in the wavelength range of visible light,
- (C) is a dichroic dye having absorption characteristics and polarization characteristics in the wavelength region of 600.about.700 nm in the wavelength range of visible light, wherein a high density polyethylene film or polypropylene film which has been uniaxially stretched is laminated as a protective film onto at least one side of the light-polarizing film.
