The present invention relates to a linear micro motor, which possesses a linear motion featuring that the micro motor can move forward and back by means of the arrangement and motion of the actuator so that the linear micro motor can be substantially applied to a digital camera or a camera phone to address a focus-adjustable liquid crystal lens.
Miniaturization technology is one of the major trends of contemporary science. Integrated circuit (IC) and micro electromechanical System are probably the most well-known technologies thereof and the preliminary technologies that lead us in the recent years to jointly explore the micro world.
Among them, the micro motors elaborately produced with the multi-user MEMS processes (MUMPs) developed by MEMSCAP attract the most attention, and the scratch drive actuator (SDA) or the bounce drive actuator (BDA) are brought into play as the key of actuation of the micro motor.
The SDA and BDA are all featured by the mechanical properties of precise positioning and step motion. Many have already published the research pertinent to actuators. Different arrangement of actuators can integrate to form a linear actuator or a step motor. Therefore, the SDA and BDA can be the major trend of the miniaturization technology.
Whereas, so far, the research and manufacture of the micro motor cannot be physically applied to the electronic industry. As the micro motor requires combining a multitude of critical miniaturization techniques, how to develop complete steps for integrating production processes to perform actual operation of the micro motor could be the challenge required to be most aggressively broken through currently.
In view of the foregoing concern, the present invention provides a linear micro motor which can be substantially applied to the photographing function of a digital camera or a camera phone by means of the arrangement and motion of the actuator, such that the linear micro motor so developed owns the miniaturization advantage.
The first object of the present invention is to provide a linear micro motor, which achieves a forward and backward reciprocating motion by the arrangement and motion of actuators and can be extensively applied to electronic products.
The second object of the present invention is to provide a linear micro motor, which is applicable to a digital camera or a camera phone by the arrangement and motion of actuators so that the camera lens can perform a linear displacement to focus based on the distance to an object and the size thereof and the picture of the object exhibits its optimized condition with the accuracy of the linear motion of the linear micro motor.
The present invention relates to a linear micro motor, which includes at least two actuators and possesses a forward and backward reciprocating motion. The actuators can be a scratch drive actuator (SDA), a bounce drive actuator (BDA) or a combination thereof. To achieve the reciprocating motion, the linear micro motor is arranged in a way that at least two SDAs are disposed in an opposite manner, at least two BDAs are disposed in an opposite manner, or at least a SDA and at least a BDA are disposed in an identical manner. In accordance with the mounting method of the actuators, the linear micro motor of the present invention can perform an advancing and receding linear motion by virtue of the motion pattern of the actuators.
To make the aforementioned objective, features and advantages of the present invention more legible and comprehensible, preferred embodiments of the present invention are specifically presented as follows in conjunction with detailed illustrative description.
